I chose this hotel solely for its view, so I requested a river view in advance as a special request, but I was disappointed that they assigned me to a room on the road instead of the river. I stayed on a Wednesday, and there were no rooms on the river. When I walked along the river at 10 PM, I saw that only a few of the many rooms had their lights on.
The rooms were small and ordinary, and it was difficult to find them based on the hotel facilities.
I heard that the hotel parking lot costs €24, but if you park on the street right in front of the hotel, it's cheaper at around €7 for 24 hours. The only downside is that there aren't many places where you can park on the street.

We were there during the trade fair, which was unfortunately a bit limiting. Breakfast was moved to an area that wasn't as inviting as the actual room! That was a shame considering the price, as it's all about the atmosphere and feeling. The location is great, a great view of the Dresden skyline. The rooms were clean and tidy! As far as the staff were concerned, there were quite a few young, unsure-looking waiters, we think they were just being trained. Accordingly, I don't want to give a rating on that, everyone has to start somewhere :) an overall successful stay with a few minor drawbacks!

A beautiful hotel, very friendly staff, helpful, the reception is staffed at all times.

It has been quite a while since the hotel name changed from The Westin Dresden to BILDBERG. It was inconvenient because you had to walk for about 15 to 20 minutes from the tourist center and there were no shops or restaurants nearby. The room is small and the bathroom is large. The facilities overall are old. Breakfast was okay.
