Was arrived bang on 3:00pm was barely greeted by MIchael who on noticing I was disabled pointed out that we hadn’t booked a disabled room. My husband explained that a disabled room wasn’t suitable due to the low bed and reach to the power points plus not fair if we used one as I am not wheelchair dependent . We asked politely for an assessable room to the lift instead . He then went through the bookings and rooms whilst moaning at us for not phoning ahead as I’m disabled. He then moaned again about being fully booked and he’d have to reshuffle rooms . He gave is our keys moaned again and gave us a card with a phone number on so that in future we could request an assessable room We finally got room 203 , it was clean but very cold , only one towel and the tv wasn’t working properly. I went back down and he told me they were fully booked, shrugged his shoulders when I asked for help hooking my kindle to the WiFi and told ‘ not my thing ‘ We ate at the Hungry House next door and was told by Michael we needed to book breakfast with them . Seems this was not the case and we’d been fobbed off by him. When we arrived back late that evening he was watching something on his phone , NO greeting or acknowledgement! Not much sleep as the reason the room was cold the window didn’t close properly so the noise from the road kept us awake and the buzzing from the moor on the extractor fan was constant. Whole stay was beyond POOR

I was a little disappointed with my stay. There was a patch of black mould on the ceiling and a bad plaster repair by the window. The carpet was stained. There were no soft pillows available in my room the first night. They appeared the second day of my stay whilst I was out even though I had left a ‘do not disturb’ sign on the door. On the first night I couldn’t get any hot water in the bathroom. I was advised by reception to buy the meal deal option (for the pub across the car park) for dinner and breakfast. As I wasn’t very hungry so didn’t choose to and it was suggested again. I was told in the hotel that breakfast was available until 9am. So I went for 8.30am. When I got there I was then told that as I hadn’t bought the meal deal option I couldn’t eat until there after 9am. Eventually it was agreed that I could have breakfast before the watershed. I ended up paying half of the price of the meal deal option. I was also told by staff that there wasn’t an evening meal ‘deal’ that I was told I should buy. All very confusing. I would say that the bed was comfortable and the bedding and towels clean. All the usual facilities of tea coffee were available. I wouldn’t necessarily choose to stop there again but it was ok.

I would like to give 3½ stars but that's not an option.......Plenty of good elements here on a 2-night stay : friendly staff, comfy beds, loads of hot water, good lighting, the lift is efficient, easy free parking.... the place is a little dowdy however. We had a Family Room which was smaller than pictured on the website so the 2 child beds were jammed next to the main bed. A Hungry Horse pub The Mill serves breakfast, this place had a shabby and seemingly untended garden with unmown grass, but worse than that there were fag butts and some broken glass. And breakfast is mediocre eg economy sausages & bitter coffee in conical jars. Some nice pastries though & reasonable cereal & jam selection. At 'being a hotel' (bed, security, bath) it is very good : but imaginative touches aren't there. I would visit again and it's a great base from which to see Beachy Head & Birling Gap etc

Such a lovely hotel in a great location, we stayed to visit family in the area, the rooms were clean, beds were amazing and plenty of tea and coffee available. The rooms can be cleaned on request and nothing was too much trouble. The staff were happy and pleasant, knowledgable of the area and helpful. We Will definitely return.

This Premier Inn gets everything right - quiet room, comfortable bed, powerful shower, bath, big TV, easy to check in and check out. The position of this hotel is handy, right on the main shopping drag, near to lots of bars and restaurants and a short walk from the beach. Thanks to friendly and professional staff we were able to check in early (not many staying there in January on a Thursday) and requested a room on an upper floor which they were also able to fix for us. Parking is just around the corner at £7.95 at the NCP multi-storey for 24 hours, so very convenient (we could actually see our car from the hotel window). Highly recommended.

As always, bed comfortable with a choice of pillows. Room was very clean, staff all very friendly and welcoming. Building looks a bit rough from the outside, car park full of potholes. Rooms although very clean, are in need of a refurb. Very tired looking hotel. Cannot fault the staff though.

After reading some negative reviews I was dubious about this Premier Inn but I had nothing to worry about! The room and bathroom were spotless, very clean and in good condition. The housekeeping staff have clearly focused attention on keeping the rooms clean and fresh; keep this up, it's showing! Overall, happy to stay here again; comfy beds, lovely rooms and a good breakfast! The ladies on The Mill are lovely too; very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is better than dinner but cheap and cheerful evening meals (beige food!) which my 10 year old liked.
