Absolutely fantastic hotel. I've been going to Edinburgh for well over 30 years and stayed on this occasion for my 50th. I could not have picked a nicer place. Friendly family ran hotel, nothing too much trouble. Our room was just perfect. Huge room a very comfy bed and modern bathroom. The location is perfect, being right by Haymarket Train Station and the tram system. Believe me, I've stayed right in the centre and down Leith end but this location is perfect, close to the main centre but quiet enough of a night. Keep up the fabulous work, I'll be back.

I believe there are short staff... Check in and check out time is really Short (stay over in the room) You can check in after 3pm and check out before 11am.. room smelly maybe from the carpet. Toilet slightly dirty. Breakfast needs to add additional cost if you want or you can take their packages. Whatever it is, this is your call and you choose it. Don't compare too much. I hope management will do something for a better guest experience. Keep it up.

The hotel is at great location, close to Edinburgh Haymartket Station. Staff is friendly and supportive. It would be better if the room is cleaned with vaccum cleaner daily and slippers in room are provided.

Excellent location (public transport eg. bus and tram stations just in front of hotel, eateries surrounding), helpful and friendly hotel staff, clean everywhere. Just could hear some noise maybe because my room was next to the housekeeping private room. Overall excellent 👍

The hotel is both clean and accommodating. The rooms are modern and the bed is comfortable. The breakfast was actually above par, (a few hotels lately produce much lower quality in comparison) and the haggis was quite tasty too. The location is perfect for reaching the town centre on foot, (around 10-20 minutes depending on how fast you walk). We had parking available upon ringing at the intercom and then verifying our booking via last name. My only real issue was the price of the parking, (£16 for 24 hours, £48 for three days for myself) however with that said, trying to park within the town centre will be very tough, and quite costly as you'll likely have ”2 hours no return” etc. So the £16 per day actually balances out and you have zero to worry about in regards your car, (the parking area is also gated). So although pricey, I'd say after experiencing Edinburgh myself, that it's actually not to bad. Oh, and please update the fitness room as it's lacking some vital equipment. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this hotel. Key points: The location is great for the visit to Edinburgh Town Centre, Train Station, it's many cafes/restaurants and various other activities that you might want to do.

We didn't have any of the food but the room was comfortable and the location was good for us 😊 it's a nice part of town. 20min walk to the centre through a park which was not a problem for us. Lots of eateries around. The gym was okay but basic. The TV couldn't connect to our Airplay which was a bit disappointing. Front of house staff very friendly and helpful 😊

Staff were lovely, polite and very helpful. Room was beautiful although a little noisy but that's expected. Continental breakfast optional and staff don't rush you.

Another great stay at a Leonardos Hotel. The reception staff were friendly and efficient, the bag storage was really useful too. The hotel is in a great location, our room was good and breakfast was tasty. If did get busy at the breakfast stations, but staff were doing all they could to make sure everything was fresh and topped up. Will definitely be making another trip to Edinburgh and staying in this hotel

The room was much better than expected, clean and comfortable. Self-service check-in and check-out were quick and convenient. If you don't know how to use it, you can call and ask for patient guidance. If you don't know how to use the access control, you can ask the staff. The location is far from the city center and various attractions, about 30 minutes walk, but you can take the bus. In summary, it is still a good choice. After all, hotels in Edinburgh are crazy expensive. I will stay in this hotel again.

Because it is a traditional old house, it has a special experience. The stairs and floors are all wooden, and the mattress is very loose and not the most comfortable. The bathroom is also more traditional, the shower room is small, and the water is hot and cold. There is a mobile air conditioner in summer, which is considerate. The environment of the hotel is very good, quiet, there are many restaurants and shops, bus station, and travel is very convenient within 10 minutes' walk. There are also mature attractions nearby, which can be reached on foot. The overall is still a good hotel, but it is a bit old, and the old house is also a good thing.
