Large room size with Calton Hill View, walking distance to Waverly Bridge Station, will stay again if travel Edinburgh in future

I had three bookings since I wasn’t sure about my length of stay. Hotel was unable to clean my room or even provide clean towels and empty the trash. They cited a cleaning every 5/7(?) days and a cleaning fee of GBP25/35(?) should I wish for a cleaning. This was despite checking in/ out three times during my four night stay. No bath wash and shampoo when I checked in and staff said they had inventory issues as an explanation. Hotel manager was able to help for one cleaning. But otherwise service was abysmal. Otherwise hotel is newly renovated, but the service was a real letdown.

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at Courtyard by Marriott Edinburgh! The location is ideal, within walking distance to key attractions like Calton Hill, Princes Street, and the Royal Mile, yet tucked away just enough to offer a quiet, restful atmosphere. The room was clean, modern, and well-equipped for a comfortable stay. We especially appreciated the comfortable bed and spacious layout, which made it easy to relax after a day of exploring the city. The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to assist, from smooth check-in to helpful recommendations on places to visit and eat. The overall service was consistent and welcoming throughout our stay.

The location is superb, almost within walking distance of Edinburgh's attractions. The rooms were very clean, with excellent, distinctly British decor. The old-fashioned windows offered stunning street views. Check-in and check-out were self-service. There's a quiet lounge in the lobby, discreetly located, where you can enjoy complimentary snacks. Security deserves high praise: the main door has a keypad, and you need a card to enter the floors and rooms! ⚠️The only drawback is the poor soundproofing! It was especially noisy on our first night, around midnight, with a group of drunk men shouting and making a racket, disrupting our sleep!

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. The first time was in the winter of 2018. The decoration and furniture of the hotel have been upgraded compared to last time. It is clean and tidy and still makes me feel as comfortable as ever.

Advantages: 1) The location is very good, just on Princess Stree, not accessible from the train station and the castle; 2) The view outside the window is very good, facing the church, you can see Edinburgh Castle, the night view through the glass is quite good, you can refer to the scenery in the photo; 3) As a hotel apartment in the room, the kitchen equipment is basically complete, and friends who love to cook can use it with confidence; Disadvantages: 1) There is no Reception, there is any problem ~ can send email communication or call communication, we arrived at the hotel and found that the Access Code can not open the door to enter the room, ~ can call the office to communicate, customer service can also help you solve the problem on the phone, No one will be sent to the scene to solve it. Note ⚠️: Entering the first floor gate and the room, you need to enter the activation time of Access Code, Code at 3 pm on the day of check-in, and the expiration time is 11:00 am on the day of check-out. That is to say, you can't get in when you arrive at the hotel before 3 pm on the day of check-in. Because your Access Code is not activated, the input is invalid, and you can be obediently accompanying your beloved suitcase on the street. Check Out time is 11 am, and the cleaning staff will put the cleaning tool at the door of the room early, waiting for the moment you leave the room to clean up. 2) There is no elevator, it is really not easy to carry luggage upstairs, it is recommended that single ladies do not try unless there is no luggage. 3) The sound insulation is very poor. I stayed for two nights. There were no guests in the next room on the first night. I felt acceptable. I didn’t receive too much alarm at night. The next night, there were guests in the next room. They talked and opened the door. We can hear clearly on the footpath, and the sleepy little friends should have a psychological preparation. 4) The noise outside the window is very loud. The window of the room is facing the road, and the siren of the ambulance can be heard no less than ten times a night, and it is particularly harsh. In the evening, there will be a group of drunk people who are loudly ”showing their heart” downstairs, walking a wave, and coming again. No less than five waves a night. It didn't quiet down until 3 a.m. 5) Toothbrush and toothpaste are not provided in the room, and there are no disposable slippers. It is recommended that the friends who are going to stay bring their own.

It went quite, well, very large newly clean apartment with two small terraces. A soft bed. The only bad for three days they did not charge nor sabbles in the bathroom, the parking was mentioned in the link under the structure and instead I had to pay £84 for 3 days in a building located upwards about 8 minutes walk.. It was not, at breakfast. The kitchen window had no tent so make the apartment with no privacy! The chairs and the large vessels were flying in the night, we were very scared! We were scared of safety that it would break the kitchen glass c it was a monstrous wind but make sure they are used to this they had to provide a better and safe protection system for people living on the ground. We have used the baggage storage, functional and intuitive kitchen. I think it is a great solution and an alternative to, hotel. The price of all that we spent so much almost €700 plus deposit.. But the prices in the city are all high, so I think it is normal for them. Big bathroom, single sin without shower... So very uncomfortable to wash you had to put in The only point where the water was out, there was no cleaning service if you didn't spend 7 days and change towels ... All of this is very expensive for services that are not available because at least the change of the, hygienic paper could, give it a roll and a half in three days seems me really miserable. For the rest, however, there was a 10-minute walking structure up from the monuments and full center, so it is a valid structure x me even if I don't understand how the reception operators will no longer speak languages like the Italian ... what is from us Basilar in our Italian hotels!!

The room is large and clean, you can cook by yourself, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher are all available.

The time required to walk from the train station to the hotel is about 20 mins. There are some stores near the hotel. There are 2 floors for the hotel. We live in a room on the 1st floor. The size is decent and the equipment is sufficient. However, the window is at the height of a peoples's head. The people outside can easily look into the room and privacy is a issue. Also, there are some problems in the bathroom. The light in the bathroom is automatic and this is a disadvantage. When I sit on the toilet, the sensor in the bathroom cannot detect my movement and will turn the light off every minute. It will be a lot better if I can switch the lights on manually. Also, the method of changing the temperature of the shower is very unhuman. Overall, it is a fine aparthotel but there are some problems

Amazing staff. Friendly people and always addressed me as sir even though I am really young. That was really professional of them. One of the persons was an elderly man and he addressed me as sir even though I am wayyyy younger than him. That was really nice and humble of him. Truly appreciate it. Breakfast was amazing. Lots of food choices and tasty food. Location is brilliant. The room I had was overlooking princes street and the view was amazing. The room was also very clean and well maintained.  Perhaps the only thing that can be improved is ventilation in the bathroom as there was no extractor fan (or maybe I didn’t know how to use it xd) the air conditioning too kept turning off after every 45 mins which was slightly annoying but the hotel had provided me with a fan in my room so no major issues anyway. Overall it was a great experience and would definitely recommend
