Frontera Blanca Superior

While the location is ideal - right at the bottom of the slopes, the accommodation is basic at best. We were charged for damages which we did not create. We were also charged onsite for two room key cards which we lost, and then charged to our bank accounts later for the same two missing room key cards. When I emailed about these two unnecessary charges I received a snarky and unhelpful email. You also have to clean the room at the end, despite the fact that its not especially clean when you arrive. Very basic and fine if you're on a budget but otherwise I'd go somewhere else.

Staff are quite rude and tried to scam me out of a 200 EUR deposit. Each room needs to pay a 200 EUR deposit on arrival. I paid by card and over a week after returning home the hotel had not responded to my emails requesting repayment. After calling them, they confirmed they were refusing to pay the deposit back and said that the room was left in a "deplorable state" and that there was blood stains left on all the mattresses, bed linen etc. This was simply untrue and after I said this to the staff member over the phone they said "it was their word against mine" and they wouldn't be returning the deposit. Thankfully my friend had taken photos of our room taken just prior to our departure which showed the room to be perfectly clean (no signs of blood as falsely stated by the hotel staff). I think they were shocked to see that we had photographic evidence to back up our claims and immediately paid me the full deposit back. Summary - IF YOU HAVE ALREADY BOOKED TO STAY HERE, TAKE PHOTOS BEFORE LEAVING YOUR ROOM ON THE LAST DAY TO AVOID BEING SCAMMED BY THE STAFF.

Excellent location and we found the reception staff very friendly, but that’s about it. Apartment was filthy and the beds on the verge of collapse. The offer a discount on ski hire from the shop in the block, but it’s cheaper down the road. Love Pas as a resort though.
