I've already written my main hols review, but I came back to Skala on my own again.I stayed in the village but couldn't resist a day here, spoke to a few of the staff I'd met previously and they were delighted to see me so soon after last visit.I was allowed the whole day by the pool and ate atvthe pool restaurant..what a brilliant day.I also took a boat ride which took me past the hotel and it looked fabulous from the sea...I love the place and the staff!🇬🇷🇬🇧

Stayed here the last week in September and first week of October 2025 , didn’t have a great start to our holiday due to a massive storm and had to land in Corfu for 4 hours to refuel and shelter from the storm, eventually getting to our hotel 6 hours late , suffered rain every day of our stay but did manage to get a few days sunshine, the hotel is set in a fantastic location with amazing views, there are a lot of steps to contend with to get to the pool and restaurants but at least it keeps you fit , you can always call reception for the golf buggies to run you around, the town of Skala is about a 50 minute walk from the hotel but the hotel does run a free shuttle bus if the walk is to far, the Sea Pearl restaurant has a buffet style with a different theme most nights, plenty of variety, breakfast and lunch is also very good, look out for George and Vangilis , very polite and friendly, the main reception bar is very good, Dimitra, Nikos and Periklis are brilliant on a night time, also look out for Lenny and Peter the entertainment team , absolute legends , Penelope and the female life guard around the pool bar are great , can’t recommend this hotel enough, very relaxing atmosphere, will definitely be returning but in a warmer month.

Our room was great (322) and had a huge balcony where we could enjoy the outstanding views. The bed was comfy, there was a choice of a soft and hard pillow. The bathroom is basic with a shower over a very narrow bath with poor pressure and a hand held shower by the toilet with good pressure. Housekeeping was good. The spa was great and reasonably priced. The pool is huge, there were plenty of sunbeds, although they are a bit tired and uncomfortable. The bus to Skala works well, it is simple to take the bus in the morning and either return by bus later or take a taxi for 8 euros. We hired a car for 2 days and explored much of the Island, enjoying the mountain roads with breathtaking views. We booked direct with the hotel and were fully aware that it is a 4 star property. There are 5 stars shown on the sign at the hotel entrance and I think that this is confusing. The food lets down the hotel. Breakfast is ok if you avoid the hot good. The fruit is mainly from tins. There is no fresh juice, just squashes from a machine. The staff serve coffee at the table from a pot but it can take some time to get served. The food in the evening is a mix, the salads are good. The hot food is poor and warmish rather than hot. It is difficult to find a staff member willing to take a drink order. The A La Carte resturant is not worth bothering with. I would recommend booking breakfast only and eat in Skala in the evening. We booked half-board and ate out 4 nights, with 2 tries in the buffet restaurant and 1 in the A La Carte.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay and would like to extend our gratitude to the entire team. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff welcomed us with professionalism and warmth, ensuring a smooth and pleasant check-in experience. Particular care was taken with my sons, who both have food allergies. The attention and understanding shown by the staff in catering for their needs was truly commendable and gave us great peace of mind throughout our stay. I was also fortunate to celebrate my birthday during our holiday, and the thoughtful touches provided made the occasion especially memorable. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would not hesitate to recommend this property to others. We look forward to returning in the future Thank you ❤️

We booked a two-week stay at this hotel and, while there were a few pleasant moments, overall the experience did not reflect the standards expected of a five-star establishment. On our first day, we dined at the poolside restaurant, which was very disappointing. My toasted sandwich was poorly presented, while my husband’s club sandwich contained chewy, unpleasant chicken that was clearly not fresh. The chips were cold and undercooked, making the €18 cost difficult to justify. Later, I ordered a mojito at the bar which was made incorrectly with gin instead of rum. Despite the mistake, I was still charged €12 for a drink that bore no resemblance to what I had ordered. Our room was reasonably comfortable and the sea view was lovely. However, the bathroom was dated and in need of some refurbishment. Housekeeping was inconsistent throughout our stay: while the bed was made and bins emptied, little else was cleaned. Surfaces were left untouched, and on one occasion our room had still not been serviced by 2pm, which prompted us to complain. The main disappointment during our stay was the food. Across the two weeks, the choice was extremely limited, with the fruit offering almost exclusively melon and desserts very restricted. Unlike other hotels of similar rating, there was no variety or sense of abundance, which made mealtimes uninspiring. By the second week, we chose to dine out most evenings, at our own expense, simply to enjoy a better standard of food. Other aspects were also frustrating. Towels could only be exchanged at reception, which meant climbing a large number of stairs (despite a single lift being available). On our second attempt to change towels, we were told there were none available. Reception service was also unfriendly; one member of staff in particular came across as stern and unwelcoming. When we asked if we could swap our included evening meal on one day (as we would be out from early morning) for a lunch on our final day instead, the request was refused. This seemed inflexible and unaccommodating. In the restaurant, service was inconsistent. One waiter was particularly discourteous, often giving guests disapproving looks and only beginning to smile towards the very end of our stay. On a positive note, the evening bar was exceptional. The staff there were welcoming, attentive, and genuinely eager to please. The female bar manager in particular stood out — she went above and beyond for guests, was exceptionally friendly, and made fantastic cocktails. Her professionalism and warmth were a real highlight of our stay. In summary, while the location and sea view were enjoyable and the evening bar staff provided an excellent service, the overall experience was let down by poor food quality, limited choice, inconsistent cleaning, and unfriendly service elsewhere. For a hotel presenting itself as five-star, it fell far short of expectations, and we left feeling disappointed.

We have recently had a fabulous two weeks holiday at your resort we cannot say enough for how well we were cared for and made to feel extremely welcome. Our room was perfect and I've never had such a big balcony it was so lovely to sit out and look out over the sea (we were in room 708), Dimos the Metre runs an extremely efficient restaurant and it was totally faultless. The staff were amazing and everyone deserves to be mentioned but for now I would like to say Niki Foros on reception from the moment we arrived (at 9.30 p.m.) he ensured that we just left our cases with him and to go straight down to the restaurant before it closed and he rang them to say we were on our way - he continued to be helpful for the rest of the holiday. As I said everyone in the restaurant were great and a credit to Dimos and the hotel itself. Fotini the waitress was so sweet and never stopped helping people which she did quietly and discretely. Now onto the cream of the cream George our waiter - wow he was amazing as he looked after us continuously and he was so friendly (whilst being professional too). Now onto the cutest member of staff .....the little ginger kitten who welcomed everyone who came into the restaurant - I was so tempted to put him in my suitcase as he was adorable 😄 We will be returning to this awesome hotel, with amazing staff and if you could thank them for making our holiday perfect. Amazing time we stayed in a suite with sea view and private pool the views were amazing beautiful sun rise as we overlooked the sea we were at the bottom of the resort so used the buggies to get us up to the restaurant and reception but we did walk back down to our suite. The lovely cleaner spoke to us every day and room was spotless. Staff at both bars were lovely and pool bar food was simple and tasty and the staff there were so friendly. The main restaurant also fine everything you could want but not always presented well. We hired a car for a couple of days arranged by reception for us. Kefalonia is so beautiful glad we could see more at our own pace. We also used taxi to skala a few times. We will definitely return.

My experience was excellent at the Louis Apostolata Spa Resort. The Staff was really nice and helpful. Starting with the Director of the Hotel to the Metre at the Restaurant Dimos (one of the nicest persons you could meet & always smiling & making you welcome) to the Staff at Reception: Nikiforos (such a nice & efficient boy), Maria (such a nice girl), all of them to the people working at the Restaurant (very friendly & helpful). I had such a lovely time at the Louis Apostolata Spa Resort. I was feeling like at Home. Many thanks from the bottom of my heart.
