Everything was great. A week of relaxation with great food and views from every part of the hotel. The staff is always happy to help you, doing everything to make you satisfied. Great variety of food and drinks. Everything was amazing, we will come back again at the first opportunity.

Just returned from our holiday..unusually for me it has taken a few days to write my review. Did I enjoy my holiday, yes I did however there are flaws at the hotel that could be very easily rectified. Firstly it doesn't compare to a 5 star hotel but first I will start with some positive comments. Beautiful, quiet and unspoilt location, a car would be preferable if you are wanting to explore the island, there is a shuttle bus that runs in to Skala but this finishes at 17.30 which is disappointing. The hotel is set in the hillside and no beach but there are some steps in to the sea should you wish to do so, however the walk down to the sea is quite steep and if you had mobility problems this would prove problematical. On arrival we were greeted with a very warm welcome and a smile from Glykeria on reception, very thorough explanation regarding the hotel. The room wasnt ready and no welcome drink on arrival.. Our room. A lovely view with the sea in the distance, good size balcony but very uncomfortable chairs so sitting on the balcony wasnt a pleasant experience, some nice chairs or loungers would have been perfect. The main room was a good size, with plenty of storage space. There was a table area with a mirror above which could be used as a dressing table however whoever put the mirror on the wall must have been extremely tall, once seated on the stool you could just about see your head and im over 5'7 so anyone shorter then myself would not have been able to use this facility..a simple oversight that again needs to be rectified. The bathroom was not good, looked as though it needed replacing and to be honest really let the room down..on the first night when using the shower which I might add has the toilet located in it..the bathroom flooded and this seeped out and flooded the main room. We mentioned this to reception and they got the maintenance guy in to inspect and advised us that he had rectified.. well he hadn't and the same thing happened again..so the shower cubicle just couldn't be used and we had to use the shower head over the bath..not ideal. Those little hotel extras like shower cap, sewing kit etc were not included, only very cheap shower gel and shampoo. No iron but hairdryer provided. No pool towels were available on arrival or the next day, there clearly are not enough towels to go around if the washing is sent to the laundry and we had to wait two days for our towels..thankfully we had taken a couple ourselves from home. Again Glykeria on reception was extremely helpful when trying to deal with our enquiries, and she is a credit to this hotel. Reception area is very tired looking and not what you would expect..no welcome drinks and the chairs are really quite shabby with coverings on them that are ill fitting. Simple things that could easily be put right and unfortunately first impressions do count. The staff are what make this hotel, special thanks must go to Roubeni in the resturant who always had a welcoming smile and a

The guest arrival experience was none existent with us being left in reception following check-in. Having sat in the reception for 30 minutes we decided to ask where the room was located as the hotel team failed to collect us or provide any information on the location of facilities or how they are intended to operate. Following the journey we tried to make a cup of tea, only to find the kettle was full of scale and the room was not provided with any tea or coffee. The wife tried to take a shower only to see the head was broken resulting in water spraying everywhere. Once reported to the reception team the shower head and kettle were replaced, however it appears they will not provide tea and coffee for non all inclusive guests. Despite the lack of a guest induction we were able to see the pool from the room balcony so managed to spend the rest of the afternoon in the sun, despite not knowing how or where to obtain towels for the pool. Before venturing out for dinner we decided to have a drink in the bar, where we were refused cocktails from the all inclusive menu. As paying customers we were only permitted to order from a limited “paying bar menu”. The hotel is designed to operate as all inclusive which results in an incredibly poor experience if you are a half board guest. We chose to find another hotel after the 2nd night where we were able to enjoy the rest of the holiday in Skala.

Just returned from a week’s holiday staying at the Apostolata hotel, Skala. What can I say … we didn’t want to leave. The hotel is a bit remote, although the hotel offers a shuttle bus to/from Skala centre during the day (apart from Sunday). Taxis to Skala can cost between €8 - €10. The staff are amazing, very friendly and nothing is too much for them. They work very hard and always with a smile on their face. The room we stayed in was central to the restaurant and the pool, although there was a bit of a hill and steps to navigate each way. The rooms are cleaned daily with sheets and towels changed on a three day basis. Each room has a kettle with tea and coffee, fridge and hairdryer with soap, shampoo and body wash available too. A complimentary bottle of water was also available on our arrival. The snack bar has a limited menu but the food is lovely. Again, the waitress, I can’t remember her name, was very nice and friendly. The buffet restaurant is what you would expect for a buffet offering various salad options and each day a different theme i.e. Italian night, Greek night etc. I can be a fussy eater but I was certainly full after each meal. On the last day of the holiday I booked in for a massage at the spa. OMG it was amazing 🤩 During our stay, I was bitten by a horse-fly which needed medical attention. The manager, Mr Perikleous, went out of his way to take me to the local doctor, which we are very grateful for. The medical treatment from Dr Ioannis Kachrilas was fantastic and now I’m on the mend. Overall it was a great holiday and we will definitely be back. Thank you for a great holiday 😊

I really don't understand the negative reviews about this resort everything is good all the staff reception, bars, restaurant, cleaners and especially the animation boys are all a credit to the place. Food was great all the drinks were very good. There are a lot of steps and hills if you aren't sufficiently fit enough to walk up 8 flights of stairs a few times a day (there are lifts and golf buggies too) don't go but what I would say is if you didn't have the climbs you wouldn't have the views that you get from your room the restaurant and even the pool. As I said at the start it is very difficult to find something that won't want to make you go back.

Another fantastic trip staying at The Apostolata, I have been staying at the hotel for several years and cannot recommend it enough. The staff at the hotel are the main component, from front of house to maintenance, they cannot do enough for you. Thank you again for a wonderful stay, I will see you again in September.

We had not chosen this hotel but were put in it as our selected hotel was not open. There were a number of other couples in the same situation. The room was large and there was a large balcony with a fabulous view of the sea. However there was no privacy from one balcony to the next. Also, with such a large balcony, sun loungers would have been great to enjoy the view. There were some cleanliness issues which was concerning. The food was disappointing. It was all buffet dining, and whilst there was a lot to chose from, a lot of it was not great. Dried out meat for example. Although there was the odd good thing. My partner loved the Mexican meatballs. There was entertainment every night which you were subjected to even if you didn't want to as it was so loud. It claims to be a 5 star hotel...the location, views, and room size are good but the lack of attention to detail, cleanliness, and the quality of the food are not.
