Tucked away in a quiet location by the river, the Cranganor was an ideal stay. The staff were very helpful. Unfortunately, I had an upset stomach complaint from Delhi, and one of the staff went above and beyond usual guest care to go to a local pharmacy for medication for me, which cured the problem. (Thanks, Amal) The hammocks and chairs dotted around the grounds were restful places to view the wide river. Breakfast was well catered for. The chef makes a very good cheese omelette. The well maintained swimming pool is by the river. The variety of birds in the grounds kept us constantly entertained. One day, we will return.

We had a wonderful stay at this exceptional hotel. The location is tranquil and beautiful with lush coconut palms, a beautiful garden and proximity to the river. The food was amazing- freshly cooked to order. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting relaxation and a touch of luxury. We enjoyed the trips offered, especially the tour of the local market. Wonderful hotel, we loved it.

The hotel was so cozy and comfortable, the staff were very nice and friendly. We had very relaxing time.. thanks to everyone there 🙏 The food menu was nice .. the food was so tasty 😋 my complement to the cheff .. our children went for a kayak they had great time..

Some really amazing home cooked food in the restaurant and amazing staff. All were very friendly and accommadating to us. Thank you again to Amal, Ajit, Jeeva and Agil. Will go back again sometime!! Also the nearby palaces were worth a visit to understand the historical area and life of the typical Kerala life back in the day and now.

One of the nicest experiences in India was staying at this beautiful hotel right on the River Periyar. Although the hotel had plenty of activities to do, and we had planned on doing some of our own side trips, we decided to simply spend the day at the hotel luxuriating in the beautiful pool, wonderful gardens, and incredible views over the river and at sunset.. Not only was the food very good, and the view magnificent, I have to point out that the service from the staff was impeccable and some of the best we’ve ever had. I would highly recommend anyone staying here in the future in beautiful Kerala.

This place is magical, very calm, serene, amazing food and the best staff. We were here for 4 days and we enjoyed the beautiful well maintained garden, and fantastic kerala food. The people were super helpful and friendly, we felt at home and definitely come back! Highly recommended!

We stayed here for a long weekend, and this is truly an amazing place. The location is excellent, the food is delicious, and the staff are very warm and helpful. The rooms are beautiful and well maintained. Excellent pool. And very close to some inspiring and great places.

Small boutique hotel in a beautiful setting by a lake. Lovely friendly staff, who couldn't do enough for you, and freshly cooked delicious food. Couldn't wish for a more chilled out place. Will definitely return if and when we come back to Kerala.
