We've just got home from a week at the Corfu Palmar, our first trip to any of the Greek islands, and without a doubt we will come back again. Costas, Evie, Spiros, Hope, Demi and all other staff were amazingly friendly, and the hotel was perfect for us. I cannot fault their attention to guests at all, in fact, they treat you just like part of their family. The only warning would be that you can at times get trapped in the bar enjoying a chat with Costas a few other guests and next thing you know it's 3am :D I don't think I've ever been to a hotel bar that's been so friendly and fun to be at. Some reviews complain about hard beds, but that suited us fine really, they were comfortable and everything was clean. We had a swim up poolside apartment (room 401) which was really nice to have a quiet swim if needed, and the main pool was really nice to use too, but as you'd expect it'll be a bit more busy (towel droppers start at 7:30am/8:00am to reserve beds, and there's only about 20 of them, so get in quick and sit and wait for breakfast to start!). Our room was well catered for, shower/bathroom/toilet was great. A small but very cold fridge for water/a few beers/chocs, a safe and key for your passports/documents etc, air-conditioning which was a must (and to be honest, yes there's an additional cost for the AC, but it's worth it when it's 31c+ in the day and 25c+ over night). Bedding and towels were changed 3 or 4 times during our 7 night stay which was awesome, and a cleaner comes in every day to clean/empty bins (remember, this is Greece, and toilet roll goes in a bin, not down the toilet!) and makes beds etc, which was a very welcome service and wasn't intrusive. We met quite a few locals through Costas who were really very nice and we're keeping in touch with (Peter and Dorothy who have recently moved to the area were wonderful to us, and we can't wait to see them again) as well as a good few friendly guests who were there as well. There is a lot of banter such as football teams, or music, and there's always someone to engage with. It felt like being sat in my local pub it was that nice. The hotel does a few "BBQ nights" of which can be Greek dancing (which was brilliant fun and lively), or live bands (the one we saw were really very good playing 80's, 90's 00's covers), along with great food which was very tasty, and varied. Breakfast includes a "full English", which I had every day (nom!) and pastries, breads etc. There's no though, but maybe a toaster will come! They are very very keen to provide breakfasts/lunches/dinners that people will want to eat, and that really does show with the fact they offer English sausages, back bacon, tinned plumb tomatoes, and Heinz baked beans, scrambled eggs etc. Lunch menu items like salads and club sandwiches were very very good, and a plate of fries as a simple snack were also very nice too! Within 10 minutes walk are many good places to eat, watch sports, have beers/cocktails, visit Sidari b

We have just returned from a lovely break at the Corfu Parmar Hotel. The hotel is clean and well maintained and is run by a lovely family who can't do enough for you. The breakfast is served between 8.30 and 10.30 and a buffet style. No complaints from us. We had a studio with a swim up pool, which I would definitely recommend. The room was lovely. The main pool was good too and most days there was plenty of room. The hotel is well situated, close to bars, restaurants and beaches but far enough away from the main resort centre . I would definitely recommend.

The Palmar is a modern, contemporary styled hotel, which is kept immaculately clean and well maintained. The hotel is in a quieter area of the resort but there are plenty of bars, restaurants and shops close by and a 20/25 minute walk to the *****. The staff work extremely hard and are very friendly. The rooms are large with ample storage, and for us the beds were OK. The fridge is very efficient and has an ice box, so remember the ice cube bags. There was a coffee machine in the room, and the hair dryer provided was powerful. The bathroom had a walk in shower which was powerful, more storage in the bathroom would have been helpful. Fans of a cooked breakfast won't be disappointed and lunches at the pool bar were good value and very tasty. Unfortunately when we were there we had a few wet days and although the terrace had a table and chairs it was uncovered, some seating in the room would have been useful.(there is one small stool). All in all this is an excellent small hotel which gets many return guests.

we have just returned from our 4th visit to the Corfu Palmar, it was just like the other visits excellent. the up graded rooms are very comfortable and roomy the pool is excellent and the food is outstanding. What makes this hotel standout is the family who run it, they cannot do enough for you. We have booked up for next year already. We would not hesitate to recommend this fabulous family run hotel to anybody.

On arrival the hotel was a lovely small, family run business. The grounds were lovely and clean and the swim up pool was fab. Our disappointment came when we opened the door to our room…it felt like a prison cell. Very sparse but not in a good way,not enough storage, none at all in the bathroom, not even a shelf. Absolutely soulless. The beds were the most horrendous beds I have ever slept on, very thin curtains also so was very light in the room so both of these meant very poor sleep. We were on a bed and breakfast basis and the breakfast was passable but very basic. I have to say a huge thank you to our wonderful cleaner Helen that works so hard and looked after us so well.

We loved it here- the family are so lovely and lots of return guests. Breakfast is gorgeous and the pools and grounds are lovely. Close to 3 different beaches and Taverna’s and bars but at the end of the ***** so away from the noise. We had a swim up room which was gorgeous but, could do with an umbrella for shade as the only option in 40 degree heat is pool or room. Also some kind of washing line or dryer would be good as draping swimwear over the walls of this newly built swim up area spoils the look. Main pool lovely too and they have a lovely Corfu cider on tap and cocktails are lush. My only critique and why I haven’t given 5 star is the same as others the mattresses are hard- for the first few nights we struggled to sleep but then we were used to them. The lounger bed outside was more comfortable and I did contemplate sleeping on that at one point. My husband had backache so had to sleep on the sofa bed made up for my 15yr old son. Great hotel just maybe consider some mattress toppers guys- all in all a lovely hotel run by lovely people and it pains me to say anything negative. We would definitely return x

Absolutely amazing experience at this hotel. The husband and wife duo are so polite and friendly - in particular we found that the husband was so lovely and willing to chat. Really nice people and so was the rest of their family too were really nice. We stayed in a swim up room and the room was fantastic - the pool was absolute perfection - well worth the extra money to upgrade. The room itself was lovely, the only downside was that the bed was rock hard and quite uncomfortable. We also thought that the air conditioning was slightly overpriced at €10 per night. Overall though, really good room. The breakfast were buffet style and they were lovely - especially the hash brown 😍. The restaurant/bar was lovely, plenty of seats and tables, they had the euros on and the food was really good. I would definitely recommend the Ceaser Salad, Pizzas and Mixed Grill. Great food and great price. Nothing was too much trouble for the husband - creating drinks that wasn't on the menu - really great service. The location is absolutely perfect for the beaches, it's a little out the way for the main part of Sidari but we prefer it a little quieter anyway. So many excursions around the area as well so there is plenty to do. Overall, minus the hard beds, the hotel is phenomenal, the bar/restaurant was lovely and modern, the staff were brilliant and friendly and the swim pools were great. Would definitely go again. Thanks for everything - Reece and Gemma.

Overall I would say this is a good hotel. The main attribute to this hotel's success is the family that run it, so welcoming and accommodating to your every need. The rooms and pool area are kept very clean. A highlight for our stay was the breakfast, best English breakfast I have ever had abroad and the pancakes were delicious! Only downfall I would say is that I have never been to a buffet breakfast that didn't have a toaster. A few negatives that have to be mentioned are: you have to pay 10 euros per night for air conditioning which was definitely needed for our stay in sunny July. The rooms are overall decent however the beds are rock hard, they definitely need to invest in some better mattress and pillows, there is also hardly any storage space and nowhere to hang towels etc. The bathroom also floods really bad when the shower is on so be careful not to slip! One of the main issues that we had and other guests staying at the same time was that they only provided one toilet roll for a room with four people in so we had to ask for more toilet roll every day of our stay, not sure why they don't just provide two rolls initially for four people. We were told that free wifi would be available however due to us staying in a second floor room we were told the wifi didn't reach upstairs, so the wifi could only be used in the pool and bar areas. Another thing to mention is that the pool toilets weren't great, there was lighting not working in a few cubicles, only one tap was working, there was rarely toilet roll in these toilets and the doors didn't lock. However we found a lot of the toilets in the surrounding restaurants and bars didn't lock either so potentially a wide issue in Sidari. The last thing I have to mention which I was very disgusted by was that on one of the nights we had asked for new bedding due to a split drink and the lady on reception was very helpful and provided new bedding. However, two days later the cleaner had put the dirty bedding that was screwed up in a ball on the floor back onto the bed even though it was obviously dirty. Although once we pointed this out to the cleaner she immediately changed the bed again. Overall, I would recommend this hotel, just a few little downfalls that could easily by rectified.
