Good hostel, but with a number of problems. Positives: (1) Bedrooms and communal areas are clean and comfortable (2) Dorm beds are cosy with privacy curtains, which is a big plus (3) Bathroom facilities are numerous and very clean (4) WiFi is excellent throughout. Negatives: (1) The smoking area is completely open to the communal areas, so when sitting in the lounge or dining areas you can smell smoke, it’s very unpleasant, and could easily be resolved (2) Charging €3 for towel hire is just price-gouging when you can buy a cheap towel for less. Also the €15 dinner option is expensive for a hostel, you can certainly have a great meal in Faro for less (3) Beds should have USB sockets as the electrical sockets are temperamental with adaptors (4) It’s near impossible to get hot water in the kitchen or bathroom sinks. Showers are fine. Not hygienic especially when guests are washing dishes for the next guest (5) The shared bathroom showers are excellent but the toilets need better privacy, they are too exposed. Insulating them like the ground floor toilets would be ideal. Finally, sadly there is no breakfast option but there is fresh coffee on tap and the kitchen is well-equipped, although usually busy.

Brilliant location and hostel superb. Very clean and beds comfy. Lots of outside spaces and great lounge/kitchen/dining room. Chef cooks every night and there are lots of excursions/pub crawls if that's your thing. Quiet after 11 so no worries on that score. Staff very friendly and helpful. Short walk into town and great cafe across the road. Sushi place and one of those great Asian stores with everything from toothpicks to garden furniture! Local supermarket and when I was there, amazing farmers market in the square on Sunday. Don't miss the chapel of the bones behind the cathedral 🥰

It was the most clean hostel I’ve ever been to and very very social! I had a great time! Thanks so much for this experience. The people at the reception were so friendly aswel. Also your locker is big enough to fit all of your stuff which is great.

Terrible place to stay, not very pleasant if you’re taking a shower and generally not very clean and comfortable , no staff behind the counter and waiting over 15 minutes to book in even though I checked in on line just completely un professional and should be called faulty towers

Clean, super friendly, lots of planned activities! super close to everything in town. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby, close to the beach. Rooms and bathrooms clean, big dining room and lounge area. Bar crawls with other hostels take you to see the local bars
