I stayed 4 nights on Fenfushi Island with my boyfriend and my parents, and had an unforgettable stay at Oasis Village thanks to our wonderful host, Ahmed. We booked this guesthouse because the prices were attractive, with nice rooms, but if we come back, it will be thanks to Ahmed’s hospitality! He truly organized everything to make our stay feel like a few days in paradise 🌅 Oasis Village is a calm and peaceful guesthouse with only 4 rooms. The room is spacious, with a desk, closet, and a very, very comfortable bed. I honestly slept so well with the fluffiest pillows ever! The room has a private washroom with a modern look. Ahmed really prepared the room to answer our every need: water, tea, kettle, shower towels, beach towels, body lotion, soaps, shampoo, and a plug adaptor. The room was perfectly clean; it was a pleasure to see. Oasis Village has a common room with a flatscreen TV for Netflix nights, a little garden with furniture to sit and lay down, free snorkeling equipment to borrow, outdoor showers to wash the sand and sea off your skin, and a washing machine with everything you need to clean your clothes. There’s really everything you need here. The local beach is a 30-second walk from the guesthouse, the sunset point is about 5 minutes away, and Bikini Beach for tourists is a 10-minute walk. But the best part is truly Ahmed! From the first message I sent him, he was very informative and honest about his guesthouse and the island, but also very helpful in organizing our trip to Fenfushi. He answered all my questions, always within less than an hour, and booked our round-trip transportation. He also explained life on the island. Once we arrived, he greeted us so warmly and organized many activities we had been dreaming of: swimming with manta rays and whale sharks, many snorkeling trips, a picnic on an uninhabited island, and a romantic dinner on the beach. Thank you to Ahmed and his team for all these amazing experiences. We had a wonderful 4 days here and recommend Oasis Village without hesitation. There are a few things to know about the island before coming. It is inhabited by locals, so it is important to dress accordingly. You cannot wear a bikini outside Bikini Beach. There are no ATMs on the island, so withdraw cash in Male or arrange with Ahmed. There is only one restaurant on the island; the food is fine but don’t expect elaborate cuisine. The food is maybe the only minor negative thing about the island. But none of these things truly bothered us. When you have cristal blue water around you, and you’ve had a chance to swim with manta rays and a whale shark, all the rest is forgotten. A huge thank you Ahmed for your hospitality, your kindness, and for sharing the beautiful things the ocean had to offer us. I’ll never forget the colors of the fish and the sunsets, but also your smile and kindness! We hope to come back soon. 💙🐠
