My friend and I stayed here the 3 nights we were in Fez. In all we stayed in 4 different riads in Morocco. This riad was lovely, the decor on the ground floor is absolutely beautiful. It’s on the smaller side compared to other places we stayed, and a little less polished in general, but it was great for us. It was extremely quiet, in fact, we were the only guests, which I don’t understand as it is a lovely place, but Fes was kind of quiet. When we got there, they offered us a room directly off reception, but we wanted more privacy so they gave us a room upstairs. The beds were the most comfortable of the trip, there was hot water and the plumbing worked. Lol. We got great service and 1 evening had dinner there, a delicious lamb tajine. Note: you need to let them know by 4PM if you want dinner, but though we didn’t do that they accommodated us with a small delicious meal when we checked in. Every morning we enjoyed our breakfast on their remarkable rooftop terrace. The setting and the food was the best breakfast we had for the entire trip. I miss it every day! As others mentioned, the last few alleys leading to the riad are isolated and not for everyone, but we were fine. I’d stay again!

The interior of the building is stunning, and you are soon welcomed with some tea by the very hospitable Ayoub. Although it can be slightly daunting to make your way through the narrow alleys to find it, especially at night, you quickly get the hang of it. In fact it is just a few minute walk from the car park, and just 100 meters from the start of the market, so the location couldn’t be better. And we didn’t feel unsafe at all. You don’t hear the noise of the market, despite its proximity, but you do not have much intimacy, which is the reason I give it 4 rather than 5 stars. Our bedroom, was directly off the breakfast/dining area, and while it meant we had no staircase to compete with, we had no windows or natural light, and could hear the hustle and bustle from other guests. That said, Ayoub was super helpful, and really obliging. When we asked for restaurant recommendations, he would not only book a table, but also have someone collect us and accompany us in both directions. Also in terms of helping us getting transportation from train station or to airport. Very charismatic and full of fun, he helped make our stay very special.

The Riad is conviniently placed in the middle of the old medina, perfect to walk around the main attractions. Sufi is a wonderful host and will provide a helpful support for any necessit. Morning breakfast is at top level. I will definitely come back

A pretty Riad close to Place Seffarine with the coppersmiths workshops. As noted before, the approach to the Riad is not so lovely but not dissimilar to so many other Riad hotels. Once inside, it’s clean, quiet and well tended and the rooms are nice. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food was generally very good and generous in quantity, although a touch too much oil in the tajine we had. Thanks for a pleasant stay.
