Palazzo Martellini is a B&B, housed inside a historic building, located in the Santo Spirito district, on the less touristy side of Florence, where you are certainly better off than on the more touristy side. In the neighborhood there are nice shops, bars and taverns of various types. Access to the center and the most important monuments, but also to the railway station, is via the Santa Trinita Bridge, a few steps from the structure. The building is fascinating and renovated with a skilful restoration, also equipped with a lift that allows you to reach the floor. Our room, spacious, bright, well furnished, with a bathroom, rarely found in similar structures. The bed is large, modern and comfortable. The service is managed by friendly and efficient young staff. The breakfast was quite varied and plentiful. However, Palazzo Martellini suffers from two slight defects. The soundproofing of the rooms is very questionable. Ours, positioned next to the bar, revealed the presence of breakfast workers from early in the morning. The other, the lack of a breakfast room suitable for the accommodation of the structure. In the morning we found ourselves queuing to be able to sit. Two situations to take into consideration in the logistical-organizational approach. Other than that, a great stay.
