Staff were very nice. Room and bathroom size was good, nice and close to tram/light rail. The restaurant that is attached to Hotel Alex was so nice I really did enjoy the dinners I had there. Breakfast wasn't bad either. The walls was very thin so could here people in the next room very easy. I did get bed bugs and also got tinia though from there. A couple of times when I came back from being out my room had a bad smell.

Unbelievable categorisation as 3 stars. Very close to a petrol station, no lobby, extremely poor breakfast, scaring narrow lift, room with a discouraging bathroom, room door closing badly and reporting noises whenever a guest opens/closes any other room in the floor, very expensive for a quality of the services comparable to a youth hostel. After 18h you are checked in by the staff of a nearby restaurant....

Simple and comfortable hotel which was perfect for our stay. Great value for money and very friendly staff. The rooms were very clean with fresh linens and plentiful towels . Downstairs is a nice cafe and adjoining restaurant. Make sure to book for dinner as it is a popular and busy neighbourhood spot . The food and service were exceptional.

Absolutely value for money! perfectly clean hotel! friendly staff! whatever I wanted they always served me. Very good and tasty breakfast and cappuccino!! You can go to the center very easily, because the tram station is 2 minutes from there. Me and my girlfriend did the best vacation in Firenze!!! Thank you for everything!!

I have often frequented it for work for several years together with other colleagues. Much worse in the rooms, unlike the bar and entrance, renovated two years ago. They don't do maintenance anymore, or at least not enough. Broken shutters, shower that sometimes doesn't work well, peeling walls, poorly maintained windows...

This is a decent hotel not far from the center with friendly staff and tasty breakfast. It could do with a bit of modernization but the lift takes you to the floors and it is comfortable. We had a good time

Decentralized hotel, but very convenient for reaching the centre, served by tram with stop 200 meters away. Comfortable and clean although dated. The reserved paid parking is useful. Suitable for those who don't have great demands. Helpful staff.

Hotel in a modern building; we stayed three nights and we were very impressed by the courtesy, availability, discretion, kindness and education of all the staff (from the hall to the bar to the staff in charge of the floors and rooms). It is a three star but for its category it is certainly MUCH MUCH cleaner and more adequate; abundant breakfast (and then coffee and cappuccinos are not made at the automatic machines but directly at the bar from the professional machine!!!). There is no fridge in the room but if you need it you can ask for it (and if necessary you can leave things in their fridge). In the days we stayed we had no problems with noise or chaos (internal and/or external). It may seem far from the center but the T1 "Federiga" stop is three minutes away and in a quarter of an hour you are in Santa Maria Novella. Really peaceful stay and 5 star plus for the staff!!!
