I'm Scottish, but was blown away with the setting of this beautiful estate of 5 or so independant lodges! Eddie and her husband own the estate, formerly of Clan Cameron, but even Campbells would be welcomed ;-) Eedie welcomed us (two Scots and a Texan) as we arrived and showed us round our home for 3 nights. It is SPOTLESS and has all you need to have a fantastic time. If it's warm, sit out on the private picnic benches, if it's cold, do it anyway (it's the highlands after all!). Beds were super comfortable. The stars at night were awe inspiring as it's in the country, but only 15m from Fort William so not remote. Book early to avoid disappointment and put it on your bucket list. Thanks team :-)

One of the best holidays I have ever been on. The lodge was spotless & the setting was perfect; being overlooked by Ben Nevis. The water was delicious and I loved walking on the forest & the country roads in the estate. The owners were kind & friendly. The location was ideal & the estate was stunning. We could go to Glencoe which I recommend. I just enjoyed taking it easy & walks while the others went off on hikes. Nearest shop was 4 miles away & Aldi etc cafes & distillery about 8 miles away.

Comfortable lodges in a remote location with a stunning view. The lodge was quite nice and well appointed, even if the bedrooms and the bathroom are on the small side. The road to get there is a bit rough so you better be ready for it. Not a big issue but definitely not recommended for sport cars :) Overall a good experience

We had the opportunity to stay for one night in the Frances' Sketch Pad in July, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was a wonderful base to explore the Scottish Highlands. We met Edith when we checked in; she was a warm and welcoming host. The studio itself was excellent and provided us with luxury self-catering accommodation of a high standard, with a fully fitted kitchen, beautiful bathroom and super comfy bed. The hot tub was a standout feature of the property, which we loved. But really, it was the location and the mountain views that encouraged us to book the Sketch Pad. It was such a joy to sit outside, with a cup of tea and take in the incredible scenery in front of us. Even though Ben Nevis was hidden behind the clouds, it was a beautiful sight to see the mist-covered mountains as we soaked up the peace and tranquility. The cost to stay in the Sketch Pad is on the pricey side. And it's not quite as private as we thought it would be, given the close proximity of other properties on the estate. But taking everything into consideration, we were still so glad we chose to stay here. It was a highlight of our trip to Scotland.

The location and views are stunning! The lodge is beautifully presented and well equipped, everything has been thought of. I think it is the cleanest accommodation I’ve stayed in and the hosts were very welcoming.
