Place is close to ropeway bus stop. however, it can be a challange to carry your luggage up the hill slope which is share with cars and visitors to the ropeway.
smoking room doesnt smell smoky as they provide purifier.. but the hallway lead to the room are very smoky in smell. just has to bare with it.
once enter, required to change show for their slippers, proceed to check in, there are foreign staffs that can speak some english to help with check in
if you check in between 3 to 5pm, there are free flow of snacks (popcorns, meatbun, mugi cha) and alcohols ( lemon sour and asahi beer)
once check in u can go for onsen to relax. not mandate to wear yukata. but feel free to do so for the immersion.
the room is dated, like stuck in the 90s or early 2000s. toilet is seperate from bath.. frankly speaking its better to bath at the onsen if you dont mind ***** infront of strangers n stared by japanese guests to see if u make any mistake ( they want you to be clean in every nook and cany) as they are in the onsen
has sauna but quite small. hover 82 degree c
has old school water spray jet which u need to control manually on all 3 sides.. good luck to do it fast during cold days.
basic amendities at the onsen area.. just hair dryer, fan and thats all
bed n pillow quite soft... pillow are small but u can get more from reception.
great view of the lake from hotel room and dining area.
breakfast is ok. everyday similar menu.. buffet style breakfast.. fish, asa curry, breads, minced marinated sashimi don, corn soup and miso soups. free flow coffee, soft drinks and limited selection of fruits.
dinner is ok, buffet style but 90 min.. need to info counter what is your prefered time slot. i recommend choose dinner... cuase it is quite a distance to the bus station for food.. and the queue are horrendous but the food are nice there tho, u can even admire mt fuji.
heard the dinner theme is based on months or seasons.

Amazing ryokan. Friendly staffs & they spoke good English. Located right by the lake and you get amazing view from one of the onsen(there are two, one for men & women). A little bit old but the rooms, lobby, hallways & elevator are clean & well maintained. Highly recommended!

Great Japanese style hotel.
Just 1 min from the station, really convenient. There is a tea set in the room, you could enjoy it after onsen. Bathrooms are sheared, have male and female sections, very clean and nice. If youâre not a fan of public bathroom, there is an option to have shower in private. However, both times I was there first late at night around 11 pm and then in the morning around 7 am, I was alone and could lay down in onsen. Bedding is traditional, as it was advertised

Location: Minutes away from Gem museum if you are taking the red line bus. It's located right beside the kawaguchi lake.
Room: Very very big room enough to lay 5 futon if require. Furniture looks dated but functional and the room is kept very clean and tidy. Needs a physical key to access the room though. Has view of Kawaguchi lake and Mount Fuji by the window. That itself is already worth the money paid for.
Food: Booked the room with Dinner and breakfast included and I would recommend anyone that books the place to do so as well, very sumptuous spread and delicious too.
There is onsen within the hotel too with indoor and outdoor pool. Highly recommended for anyone considering a hotel in kawaguchi.

Staff are generally nice and helpful. Most of them can be communicated with English which makes our stay easier.
There are two hot spring site inside the hotel with one on the ground floor (1/F) and one on the top floor (5/F). One thing to note is there is no towel provided inside the hot spring changing room. You have to bring the towel inside your room to the hot spring site - and bring it back to your room if you plan to enjoy the hot spring 2nd time. This arrangement is not familiar for me as when I visited other hotel, they usually have more than enough towel for replacement at the changing room.
There is a room for kids to play and stay and it is great from family with kids. My kids also enjoy the welcome food very much (lots of donuts and cookies!)
The dinner for my package was Kaiseki-style. Since me and my family stayed for two nights, it is good that they have designed different meals for two nights! The beef is great I have to say. The staff will try their best to briefly introduce what the dishes were. We have the dinner in the restaurant so it may be a bit crowd and noisy to some people. From other tables I can see there is option for hotpot or even crabs! Re-checked with hotel's official web-site there are more choice on the dinner menu. Regarding the dinner menu choice, I did not find it when I order through Trip.com (maybe my bad), so it will be better if Trip.com can optimize the website outlook to make it more noticeable (I think this opinion applied to all other similar type Japanese hotel which provide high quality dinner).
When you arrive Kawaguchiko train/bus station, you can go to the Tourist center there (just turn right when you leave the station, it is at another building) and ask the staff there help to call the hotel for the pick-up. Similary, when you check-out, you can talk with the front-desk staff and arrange the shuttle-bus back to the station.

Went with my parents. Check in was relatively straight forward, as was check out. The hotel was quite spacious, the room was to be expected. Relatively basic but clean. Did not eat there. They were able to call us a taxi when needed. We enjoyed the onsen as it had different pools, though not sure about how much of it was âonsen waterâ.

Nice hotel! We just arrived at the hotel entrance, and there were staff members greeting us at the door. During check-in, the process was explained clearly, and the service was excellent. A staff member was dedicated to serving us dinner, and both the dinner and breakfast tasted great. The view from our room was also very good. When we left, the hotel staff waved at us continuously. The service and quality were very good.đđ

AAutumnLeafThis is by far the best hotel I've stayed in Japan. Hospitality, cleanliness and food were perfect. Best value for a all-inclusive onsen resort by the lake.
Staff were friendly and attentive. From the time we arrived to the time we left, we felt welcomed and well taken care of during our stay. They received us from the carpark and got our baggage for us. When we left, they made sure to carry our luggage to the car.
Rooms and the guest onsen were clean, big and spacious, with propery air-conditioning and heating. It also has a good view of mount Fuji from the room balcony (though unfortunately it was raining for the 2 days which I was there)
The food was amazing as well, there were so many choices and we were left stuffed after both dinner and breakfast.
Would highly recommend anyone this all inclusive hotel if you have the chance.
LLiechienMy recent stay at Villa Yumefuji Kawaguchiko was nothing short of magical. Nestled in the stunning surroundings of Kawaguchiko with breathtaking views.
The villa itself is a perfect blend of traditional Japanese architecture and modern amenities. The rooms are spacious, elegantly designed, and offer panoramic views..
The staff at Villa Yumefuji Kawaguchiko were incredibly hospitable and went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and memorable. Their attention to detail and personalized service truly set this villa apart.
One of the highlights of my stay was the private onsen (hot spring) available at the villa. Soaking in the warm waters was a truly rejuvenating experience.
Overall, Villa Yumefuji Kawaguchiko exceeded all my expectations and provided me with a truly unforgettable stay. I highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a luxurious and authentic Japanese experience in Kawaguchiko.â
KKara TaiThis might be the best place to stay near Mt Fuji! The service is incredible and the staff is very friendly! We booked a dome and loved the sauna, bath, dome, kitchen⊠everything! The BBQ dinner and breakfast were outstanding and the detailed cooking instructions were very clear. The bed was very comfortable as well.
Only one complaint - gas grill is located inside the kitchen and the room fills with smoke. Best to open the sliding doors to let the air circulate and also clean the grill before turning it on.
The staff helped us book taxis, which helped a lot, too!
FFatty GumVery Good value for money! With welcome drinks (juice & house wines) & snacks. Fusion fine dining dinner mixed with Japanese & western style, decent presentation & taste good. Cozy room setting with high quality drinks ware. Due to bad weather, we didnât use the outdoor bath tub but we believe that it should have the FJ Mountain view. The 5 different hot-spring private rooms are special, no reservation is required & we tried the hot stone chair & felt good! The hot-spring section also provides to ice lolly & drinks. Buffet as the Morning breakfast with variety of foods but only serve till to 9:15am. Hotel pack up service with several time slots & operated on time.
DDayamirAnother nice hotel we stayed in is here Hotel Route Inn. Everything was great. View frm our room is magnificient. And the best thing is they have a private onsen that u can use with a fee. And very affirdable too!! Every staff is so helpful and polite. đ„°
GGuest UserThe hotel is nestled in a quiet area, away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy area. We stayed 3 nights in a room facing the lake with a magnificent view of Fuji-san. A van provides shuttle service to and from Kawaguchiko station. The restaurant is not operational hence we either ate outside or bought food back from Lawson/7-11. Hotel staff were friendly and attentive, and there were Mandarin-speaking staff. We miss it very much even though we are now in Hoshino Amoriya, which speaks a lot about the Kumonoue Fuji!
GGuest UserThe hotel offers excellent service with very patient and attentive staff. The breakfast is delicious, and the surroundings are beautiful.
And one more thing to mention is: I would like to sincerely apologize for missing the scheduled check-in time. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I was delayed, and unfortunately, the hotel staff had to wait for me for two hours. I deeply regret any inconvenience caused and appreciate the staffâs patience and understanding in accommodating my late arrival.
GGuest UserHotel Regina Kawaguchiko exceeded all expectations. The stunning views of Mount Fuji and the cozy, well-maintained rooms were perfect. What truly stood out was the outstanding service from the Chinese-speaking receptionistâhis warmth and attention to detail made our trip extra special. A memorable and exceptional stay!
ZZhangYiUnique Japanese style hotel with amazing view of Mt. Fuji and Onsen available to all guests. Itâs definitely a wonderful experience for us. If you want to experience traditional Japanese culture, I highly recommend this hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Room is spacious and special. The hotel is a little old. A big park with lake is just right across the street. We enjoyed our time at this hotel!
SSRL13064We used the payphone at the train station to call the resort and they arranged a pick up service for us. It arrived within 15 minutes of the call so we didnât have to wait too long in the cold. It would be better if they could let us know about this arrangement in the booking confirmation.
Driver who picked us up was a delight to meet! He was cheerful, coupled with his humorous mannerism, brightened up the otherwise gloomy journey amidst the cold.
Location of the resort is quite far away. Although there was a 7-11 within 10 minutes of walking, the nearest shopping cluster was 20 minutes away, although this shopping cluster is quite a complete one with a full pharmacy, supermarket and plenty of food options, ranging from cheap to exquisite. The resort is 30 minutes walk (15 minutes drive) away from Kawaguchiko station. The location will be more convenient for travelers who drive.
We woke up with a direct view of Fuji-San! Absolutely breath taking.
Breakfast, served buffet-style was sumptuous with Japanese food. It filled us up and got us ready for the day.
Upon check out, we realized we had to book the shuttle bus to the train station. We thought it would be readily available. This was not the case as the bus at the previous timings were full. This could have been made known to us upon check in. Also, the shuttle bus is actually a 7-seater car and not a bus. Maybe right-naming the vehicle is better as it will give travelers a better understanding the capacity of the transport.
