TownePlace Suites Gainesville

My mom and I stayed here for a few nights in January while my Dad was in the hospital. Very nice hotel. But the staff is what makes it so special, GM Shawna went above and beyond for our family as we were experiencing a stressful situation. The hotel was very clean and the staff member that did the breakfast buffet was excellent. She was on top of it, keeping it clean and always asking us if we needed anytime, Very impressed and grateful! Will definitely stay again.

We spent 60+ nights here, Barb, Diane, Jason and Juanita. They do an amazing job. There are more staff but those where the ones I interacted with the most. Shayna is a terrific manager. They have a hot breakfast every day. We didn’t get a chance to use the gas grill or pool. The gas fire pit was nice with a cup of hot chocolate, at least the few mornings it was cool enough to do that. The staff kept everything so clean. Jason had to fix a light that my wife broke when she thought a closet door was stuck. Everything was provided except lunch and supper. The fridge can hold enough food for a week. There was a glass top stove and oven in our room. Microwave above the stuff and a dishwasher. We left dishes in the sink a time or two because we were pressed for time but they were washed with a smile. All you need is food and cokes zeros. If our house floods again, we will stay here! We brought our own streaming devices (two tvs) so we could watch our DIRECTV streaming. You can also add your information to the smart tv and watch Netflix and such. The WiFi is open so use a vpn. Great Job everyone!!

We loved this Hotel. We got in at 2am, our check in host was so sweet. We told her we were in Gainesville because my daughter was in the hospital. She helped us with the rate and was super nice. The room was wonderful and the hot breakfast was fanatic. I will always remember the nice staff and I appreciate the compassion.

All the staff was amazing and welcoming! Barb at check in is fantastic! The rooms were clean and bed comfortable. Breakfast was hot and fresh and someone near by to refill if food or coffee was getting low. Great place, wonderful staff, will definitely be back!

Marriott properties are reliable because Marriott sets high standards. This location falls short. We have stayed at three other TownPlace Suites this year in Georgia, Tennessee, and Ohio— all of which were excellent. This one isn’t. The manager seems more concerned with paperwork than with providing good service. The hotel was mostly vacant yet we were given a room next to the service closet and could hear the door opening and closing throughout the night. The floor was dirty; a dirty dish towel in the kitchen; hair in shower; toilet seat broken; shower gel container was nearly empty. At other locations, fresh cookies greet guests. Here, there was a stack of bruised bananas. One bright spot was the breakfast and friendly host. This location simply isn’t up to par.
