We stayed in room 6 the Attic which is very large and spacious, more an apartment than a hotel room. It was well furnished, comfortable and enjoyable to stay in for a few days. The building is a restored and preserved original Canarian wood mansion and its great that these buildings are being preserved and used. Where else will you find 14 inch wide floorboards. The wooden ceilings in other rooms are amazing. Having said all that there are downsides. The hotel being only 6 rooms is not staffed by management daily, there are cleaners and laundry personnel on site but management seems to be remote. Breakfast is supplied by a separate business running a patisserie in the alcove during the day, It's ok, varied but nothing special. Our room was spacious and comfortable but being Sea View was exposed to the road noise which you have to accept, it's not too bad but don't expect silence, there's a music school next door too. The room really needs a very good clean, every chrome surface from the kettle to the shower needs descaling and polishing. After 2 days we noticed an infestation of ( we were told ) wood eating moths. We could see the eggs in piles on the floor in several areas. The management were not very forthcoming about the exact species causing the the problem despite being aware. We hope we didn't bring home any eggs in our luggage. Our concerns about this were dismissed and the owner was not transparent about the issue. Garachico is a lovely place to visit for a few days.

Very nice and cosy room. Very typical of the canarian islands with lot of charm. Huge space : more a flat than a room. However avoid sea view as it is overlooking the noisy road as well. No lift. Too early check out (11am) and breakfast (10am). Average breakfast. Not a wide choice and served in closed coffe shop downstairs (don’t expect outside view). No courtesy water in the room.

NOT FOR EVERYONE - which is good - cos more space for the rest of us ! Fantastically large room on 1st floor with great furnishings , kitchen and shower room. Our room was a conversion of an original public room in this Mansion House. Original wooden features are spectacular especially 3 double-height door/windows and a complex wooden ceiling that could just not be thought up ! Breakfast is provided via the patisserie downstairs and is adequate. House-keeping was good. Value was excellent. The owner was very helpful with arrival and info. ISSUES : road noise - to be expected with location. Don’t expect silence. Smell from drains in shower room. Heavy scent used to help. Keep shower room closed and it was fine - longer stay and I would have minded more. WiFi - excellent. If you have stayed at a tourist resort hotel (as we had) and long for a bit of Canarian culture - this is ideal. Garachico is a great place to stay for a few nights.

Sans parler de la localisation ideale en plein centre historique et de la grande beaute des chambres (suites), il faut souligner l'accueil chaleureux de la responsable et ses conseils precieux. Par les temps actuels, cet avantage est inestimable.

Excellent Hôtel.!!!! Voyez la suite......Lorsque vous arrivez, il n'y a personne. Il faut téléphonez au propriétaire pour que lui même téléphone à une personne qui vient alors vous remettre les clés de votre chambre. Vous êtes dans un vrai Air B&B..... On vous montre la chambre, correcte, avec une petite salle d'eau qui dégage des odeurs.., mais bon, vous avez réservé. Puis vous entendez une musique répétitive. Vous ouvrez les volets et là vous comprenez que cet hôtel est situé juste en face d'une école de musique qui donne des cours de piano, flute, etc et qui organise des répétitions jusqu'à minuit. Un peu plus tard dans la soirée vous entendez de nouveaux bruits. Vous vous apercevez alors que le rez de chaussée de cet hôtel est occupé non pas par un restaurant, mais par deux. Bruit toute la soirée jusqu'à plus d'heures. ( en général jusqu'à 1 h ou 2 h du matin). Vous essayez de dormir entre 1 h et 5 h, car en plus on oublie de vous dire que cet hôtel est situé dans une petite rue qui elle même se situe juste derrière la seule route qui dessert GARACHICO; Donc un bruit infernal toute la nuit. Voilà notre séjour dans se soit disant 4 étoiles, si malgré cela vous voulez réserver, nous vous souhaitons de bonnes vacances, mais nous nous ne reviendrons plus dans ce lieu. J'allais oublier, le petit déjeuner, pain et beurre, avec un café. Si vous voulez un autre café il faut demander.

les chambres sont en fait de mini appartements, très pratiques, et idéalement situés dans le centre de Garachico. nous avions de plus la chance d'avoir une vue sur l'océan. le côté historique du lieu lui donne un charme fou et la cafeteria en bas est autant sympathique que pratique. Nous avons juste été un peu étonnées de la gestion "à distance", sans accueil sur place, mais une fois la surprise passée, et nos petits soucis d'arrivée réglés, tout a été très bien.

La habitación que nos dieron era un espectaculo, enorme y muy bonita ademas de un colchon francamente comodo. dan el desayuno, pero nunca me levante a tiempo de probarlo. la situación dentro del pueblo es muy buena

Le lieu est impressionnant, un hôtel particulier du 18ème siècle, des poutres apparentes, une décoration exquise, une vue sur mer avec en contrebas les fameuses piscines naturelles et de l'autre côté les toits de la ville et le clocher de l'église. Magnifique! En revanche, lorsque nous sommes arrivés il faisait une chaleur horrible dans l'appartement. Nous avons ouvert toutes les fenêtres et avons activé les ventilateurs. La nuit nous avons dû fermer les fenêtres car la route principale passe juste en dessous et il y a des bars en face et des gens qui chantaient jusqu'à tard dans la nuit. Nous n'avons donc pas pu profiter sereinement de cet appartement exceptionnel, même si le personnel était très aimable et a fait son maximum. Nous avons été un peu déçus car nous avions hâte de séjourner dans cet hôtel. Je pense qu'en hiver il doit y faire meilleur.
