As much as I hate to say it, it’s probably the worst hotel we’ve stayed in 30+ years. The room is like a ( bad) student studio flat. Carpet a trip hazard, TV useless, shower like something from 1990 Berlinnie, noisy & at £140 p/n a complete rip off ( plus £20 for breakfast ) General decor is shocking. It’s a very expensive backpackers hostel, nothing more or less.

The staff are wonderful, the food is great. The noise from the music from the bar downstairs kept me awake until late. Living in the countryside one forgets how noisy cities are. The small room is not very good and seriously needs refurbishing. It is too small a room for a double bed it is really a single room. It would have been good to have had our beds made on our second day snd glasses and cups washed snd replaced. It good enough I’m afraid. Overall, it is an old building. It does not refurbishing, the staff are great, the food is good, but I’m sure we would stay again ….

We booked a meal for Friday 2nd Feb.My daughter in law had been last summer with friends.She told me how good it was. She booked a table for us. The Staff are all lovely and very friendly.We all picked our meals and had a drink as well. All our meals were lovely and were very good helpings.We had an hour and a half slot.Thats really good as you can relax and enjoy your meal. I would certainly recommend it and hope to go back soon.

Great location and wonderful, helpful and friendly staff, but rooms and reception area need some deep cleaning. The pub is a fun and busy place but guests might want to bring earplugs if they want to sleep before the pub closes. Wonderful continental options for breakfast.

Felt like family at this great above pub accommodation. Room was well equipped, clean, and larger than expected. Our host, Aidan, was the absolute best. Breakfast was fantastic, both the continental and big Scottish breakfast. One note to mention (not the fault of the pub), downtown Glasgow is very loud at night. But having the shopping and restaurants within walking distance was wonderful.

From the moment we arrived the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable. The hotel was in a great location close to local amenities. The bar looked great and the beer was cold. We will definitely return when back in Glasgow.
