"I am rarely 'blown away' by hotels but Citizen M truly blew me away and exceeded all my expectations. First of all, the staff member who greeted me was super friendly, asked me about my trip and the check in process was probably the easiest, fastest and most modern process I have ever experienced anywhere. When I walked into the room, I almost thought I walked into the wrong room because the size of the bed was HUGE (much bigger and better in real life than displayed in the pictures). The room itself was also much bigger than I expected, and so very modern and 'cool' like a spaceship. It had a homely feel and had some truly unique features like an ipad to control the TV, the lights (brightness and colour - very cool again!!), blinds (and more) and you could even play games with the lights. There was a moment where I truly felt I could spend an entire day just in the hotel room because it was so fun being in there and I looked forward to coming home to my hotel every night."

"The hotel has a slightly traditional contemporary homely feel to it. Receptionist could be friendlier when I was checking in, after a long day of travel. The restaurant staff, Steven was extremely helpful and warm. The room which was a suite Pol Roger was huge, however the sound and music from downstairs bled up so turning in early was not possible. Overall, a pleasant stay but would have been excellent if I had received a friendlier welcome and farewell, from the same lady receptionist."

"The room was alright, but it was incredibly noisy. There were people drinking downstairs late into the night. The breakfast was terrible; the milk seemed expired, and the food was unhygienic, rough, and very limited in variety. They also charged a £50 deposit, which takes 2 to 3 days to be refunded. This is the only hotel I've stayed at in the UK that charges a deposit. Overall, I do not recommend staying here."

"This hotel is incredibly convenient for train travelers. There's an exit right from the train station, and you just cross the street to reach the hotel. The facilities are quite new. Rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels, which is standard in my home country but not always the case abroad, where many hotels won't actively clean, empty trash, or change towels during a multi-night stay. The electric bed in the room felt unnecessary; our room was spacious enough that they could have easily added a couple of chairs without much cost, which would have greatly improved the guest experience."

"1. There is feces left on the toilet. 2. The interior decoration of the room is completely inconsistent with the photos shown on the platform. 3. The room is relatively cold. 4. There is a bar downstairs, which is extremely noisy at night. Meanwhile, the sound insulation is very poor, so you can hear the sounds of people walking in the next room and the corridor. 5. It is not recommended to stay at this hotel, unless you are on a tight budget."
