Onomo Hotel Lomé

The hotel has good service, it’s clean and has an African theme which I love.

Onomo Hotel Lome Togo, is the best hotel you can find Togo. The hotel is about 10 minutes drive to Allah, the Ghana Boarder. The hotel is just on the highly way opposite the Beach. There services is top notch with well trained and friendly staffs right from the security to the top staff. We hosted 310 guest at the hotel in a training workshop for a week and it was a huge success with the help of all staff ready to make sure we all feel well at home. Mostly Shantel the front desk Lady, who make sure we bring the business down to the hotel. The Sales manager, madam Candide Jidiber and Mr. Victor were also wonderful. The front dest lady Shantel has also make sure we are hosting the said training this year again from August 11th 2024. Kudos to her for the resilience and hard work in making sure customers feel much more at home. In all, I recommend ONOMO HOTEL LOME, if you find your way down to Togo. Stay in ONOMO and you won't regret.

The hotel Onomo is amazing and very contemporary. The staff was very helpful especially in the restaurant. The food was good. The room was small especially for 2 people who both used CPAP machines. There were not enough outlets but we made it work. I will definitely return there on my next trip to Lome.

I had quite high expectations about this hotel, looking at their website. I know the Onomo family and I would’ve never expected such a bad experience. Things started to go south even before the arrival: I had checked in online, following their email, and during the process, I ordered a private pick up from the airport. Not only didn’t I find anyone waiting for me, but when I called the hotel, they told me that the collective pick up would’ve arrived in a few minutes. Well, it took more than one hour… Then, after the check-in, I went to my room, which was supposed to be a junior suite, but I found quite a standard room, moreover one of the few without the balcony. Rooms do not isolate from noise, I could hear everything happening in the corridor, in the next rooms In the leisure area. The restaurant is crazy prices in relation to the area, the food is less than basic and the wait is way too long. For a cheeseburger you can wait even 90 minutes! On a Sunday, there was a private event, with loud music, even during the early afternoon, while you may want to relax. Because of this event, we had several blackouts during the evening. Finally, the staff is honestly the worst I have ever met: slow, unfriendly, careless, They just hang around, doing nothing but talking one another. If you have a request, first, you have to wait they finish chatting. On a Sunday night, around midnight, some of them were cleaning the restaurant area with loud music and screaming as they were having a party. They woke me up and I had to ask them to respect people sleeping. Totally unacceptable! I will have to come back to Togo, but for sure I will never come back to this hotel, probably the worst I’ve been to.

I have stayed and am staying here on business currently and for the next 2 months will be a regular visitor, my company books this hotel so I dont have a choice of rooms . Rooms vary in style but are ok . Upstairs rooms are more luxurious, I am currently downstairs and rooms are ok ,very basic but practical. The restaurant offers a nice breakfast buffet . Lunch and dinner is a problem as your food takes very long to arrive even if its not busy . Food quality is up and down ,some dishes are great and some are inedible, we had the bicyclist chicken and the geunnie fowl last night .Both dishes were like eating rubber ,honestly the worst meal I have ever had in a hotel . Waiters get drinks orders wrong as they lack English language skills . You ask for a tonic water and you get a gin and tonnic ? I could go on but think I will stop here . This Hotel has great potential but needs more professional management and definitely needs better quality control in the restaurant area .
