The holel is luxury! My room didn't smell, it was very big and the bed was perfect, and I recommend to take a breakfast at the hotel restaurant. The hotel is hard to find so after you take a taxy just call the hotel stuff to help you find a way. Sisters at the reception were really kind to me!

The front desk staff are helpful. The hotel is very clean and location is good. There is a local tour agency at the lobby that can help to arrange tickets for various activities. Overall very good stay.

Really friendly and helpful staff! Never declined any of our requests and always helped us out, even though we are a larger group. Also, any amount of drinking water provided on request, even upon checkout!
Tour desk in hotel managed to help us get unscammed from a bad tour purchase and booked us a fantastic tour for a much better price than the online prices (even here on Trip) or the multiple local touts and tour offices.
Location is also excellent, in a vibrant pedestrian center with lots of food and shops open till 10 to 11pm every night. Some of the sellers speak basic English as they're used to tourists. Only issue is that the nearest road is about 50m walking distance but that's not a long walk unless you're heavily laden.
Room was really nice and clean, no unpleasant smells and the water pressure was warm and pleasantly hot.
All in all just about our favourite hotel during this China trip (and much better than many we've been to before)
Disclaimer on photos: Didn't manage to take pictures of the room before the kids messed up the bedding, but the hotel provided some stock photos, which do look exactly like how the room was on arrival.

Stayed at 正阳璞云酒店 for 5 nights to tour Guilin & Yangshuo. Had a great stay, as the hotel is conveniently located at 步行街. It is also easily walkable to nearby attractions like 逍遥楼 and 七星景区. There's also free coffee at the lobby.

Great hotel in the very center of Guilin!
The staff is very friendly and helpful, and doing its best to accomodate every request.
The breakfast is good too.
I would like to use this opportunity to express my gratitude for Jenny the travel consultant, which has made my stay in super smooth, with private car and attractions booking, sightseeing and dining recommendations!
