"Ciao was our first stop in Guilin, and it was full of delightful surprises. The front desk staff mentioned they had spare rooms and upgraded me directly to a river-view room. He even helped push my luggage all the way to the room, and his attitude was superb. The river view at dusk with that lovely blue hue was truly beautiful, with many people jogging along the riverbank. It’s not on a main road, so it’s very quiet. Upon leaving, they even gave me a delicate little gift. It's also very convenient to get to the Two Rivers and Four Lakes to see the Sun and Moon Twin Pagodas at night. I rarely write reviews, but I genuinely wanted to praise this hotel this time."

"This hotel in Guilin is fantastic! The location is superb, just a 15-minute walk from Elephant Trunk Hill and the Two Rivers and Four Lakes. The rooms are clean and elegant, and the 7th-floor viewing platform offers picturesque mountain and river scenery. The service is warm and attentive, and the Guilin rice noodles for breakfast are authentic and delicious. It's excellent value for money and really enhanced our trip. We'll definitely stay here again next time!"

"The hotel staff were friendly, responsive, and polite, which was commendable. However, there were several issues with our stay. 1. **Unclear Bed Type Information**: I booked the Biyuzan River View Room, which stated a random allocation of a 2.4m king-size bed or two 1.2m single beds. After being assigned the 'king-size' bed, I discovered it was actually two single beds pushed together, with a noticeable gap in the middle that severely affected my sleep. The product page made no mention of this being a combined bed. 2. **Unreasonable Price Difference Mechanism**: After checking in, I accidentally noticed the room price had dropped. The hotel only refunds the difference if the guest discovers it and actively requests it from the front desk; they don't proactively offer compensation. Booking early to secure the room means price protection is entirely dependent on the customer checking themselves. 3. **Ill-Conceived Bedside Step Design**: The raised step next to the bed is poorly designed. There are no warning signs, and its height is abrupt. Getting up at night with poor visibility, I nearly tripped several times, posing a safety hazard. On the positive side, the room had an excellent river view, and the hotel offered experiential activities like travel photography and fishing. The service staff were also quite thoughtful. However, I cannot overlook the issues with the combined bed, the price difference mechanism, and the bedside step hazard."

"Guilin finally has a Courtyard by Marriott! As a new hotel, my overall business trip experience was excellent. The room was quiet, with ample workspace, clean, and comfortable bedding. The front desk was responsive, and check-in/check-out was quick. The location is convenient for the high-speed rail, with all the necessary amenities, making it perfect for business travel. The pool is also very Instagrammable. I'll bring my girlfriend next time!"
