Vaucluse Hotels with Gym

The owner and host Pascal is very warm, eager to please, excitable and very outgoing. There is a happy hour for guests and Pascal everyday and it is nice to make friends with other guests. A very nice breakfast is good included daily. A short 5-8 minute drive to the lovely but crowded town of L'Isle sur la Sorgue. Pascal helped us book last minute dinner reservations in L'isle sur la Sorgue, which isn't easy to do last minute in September. We especially enjoyed Le Jardin du Quai. Only a four course with no choices at 52 Euros pp. We enjoyed it so much we ate there our last two nights. The ”resort” is in an old Carmelite building that has had refurbishment. It is more rustic Provencal than contemporary. There is an outside covered fairly extensive exercise room, a nice pool, and a very peaceful feel outside on the property. The bees at breakfast were bothersome but nobody got stung and they seemed benign. The clientele was international, but more than 1/2 French. Pascal speaks and understands English well. Les Carmes is quite different than most other places in the region. It reminds me a bit of the Golden ages of travel in the 1950s. It is the opposite of sterile and has a real heart and center.

We totally enjoyed our stay in Cloitre des Augustins in Avignon! We had 2 rooms and stayed for 6 nights with family. Rooms are clean, spacious and stylishly furnished. Air conditioning is perfect and with all utensils for making meals. The location is wonderful with lots of cafes, supermarkets and shops nearby. Also walkable to all major attractions such as the Pont d’Avignon (the broken bridge) and Palais de Papes. About 15 minutes walk to Avignon Centre train station which is a bonus if you plan to travel to nearby towns like Arles or Nimes by train. Convenient location and nice rooms. Besides, the host Patrick and his wife are helpful and welcoming. Highly recommended

This is a treasure hotel, the space is very large, clean and elegant, and it is very comfortable to bring a small courtyard. Very good value for money place. The service attitude is very good, can communicate in English, at least the two receptions I encountered have no problems. The hotel is a courtyard type, the reception will lead you to see the room, otherwise you will not find it.

The first night was very quiet, the second night was attacked by mosquitoes, and I woke up in the middle of the night to fight mosquitoes, only to find mosquito bodies on the wall. I was bitten by 6 bags, and the other was bitten by countless. The bag on my finger was finally connected to a white line, looking scary. Stayed for two nights and no cleaning service. There is no living supermarket within walking distance. Fortunately, we purchased food from the last hotel and brought it with ice bags. The induction cooker is not enough, half fried and half stewed, and it can be considered to be able to eat. There is no serious kitchen knife and silicone shovel. The two men ran to the first floor for a meal, and finally gathered together the kitchen utensils and played pure water. The tap water can't be drunk when it boils, it's all water alkali The advantage is that parking is free and there are plenty of parking spaces. Our stay at the Mercure Avignon TGV Hotel et Spa was the perfect blend of relaxation and convenience. After a long day of travel, the hotel’s sleek, contemporary atmosphere felt like a breath of fresh air. The highlight was definitely the spa facilities. Having access to a pool and sauna right on-site allowed us to truly unwind and recharge. The room itself was impressively spacious and quiet, ensuring a deep and peaceful night's sleep despite being so close to the transport hub. We wrapped up our stay with a delicious breakfast in their bright, airy dining area. The quality of the coffee and the selection of artisanal breads and cheeses were top-notch. It is a wonderful choice for anyone looking for a touch of luxury and ease during their journey through Provence.

We had a very enjoyable stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The location was convenient, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing. The amenities were good, although there is still some room for improvement. Overall, it was a great experience, and we would happily stay here again.

I initially thought this hotel would be noisy, seeing how close it was to the train tracks on the map. However, after checking in, it far exceeded my expectations. Here's why: The room was clean, the bathroom was large, and the room itself was incredibly spacious with comfortable bedding. But most importantly, there are two key points: 1. It was very, very quiet. 2. It's incredibly close to the train station and the main bus terminal, about 300 meters away. It's also very near the old town attractions, making getting around super convenient. Plus: If you exit the hotel, turn left, then left again, and cross the railway overpass, you'll find a large supermarket. This was the best hotel I booked during my trip to Southern France.

The front desk lady's warm and thoughtful service made me feel right at home. It was excellent. The hotel's location is great, and 15 euros for parking nearby isn't expensive at all. The room was also very good, with a 2-meter king bed and a single small bed, and even a connecting door.

The hotel is located directly opposite the old town, making it very convenient for exploring. There's an underground car park with plenty of spaces, costing 14 Euros for 24 hours, and it felt very secure. We stayed in an executive room, but it was a bit small – actually the smallest room we've had on this European trip. A pleasant surprise was that they provided disposable slippers, which was the only time we encountered that in Europe. On each floor, near the elevator, there's a water dispenser with ice water, so the hotel doesn't provide bottled water in the rooms. There was air conditioning in the room, but it wasn't very effective; even on the lowest setting, it didn't cool much. What was a bit frustrating was that the cleaning lady, thinking we had it too low, adjusted the AC to 27 degrees Celsius on a low fan setting right in front of us. This was a bit ridiculous, especially since it was already 39 degrees outside – it was really hot! There aren't many restaurants, shops, or supermarkets around Novotel Avignon Centre itself. However, because it's so close to the old town, everything can be found there. In the old town, there are two large supermarkets, Carrefour and Monoprix. Monoprix is closed on Sundays, but Carrefour is open every day.

This hotel in Avignon offers a great location, with a short 10-minute drive to the city center. The availability of free parking is a convenient perk. The rooms are spacious and well-maintained, providing a comfortable stay. Although the rooms are located on the second floor, the hotel staff is helpful and assists with luggage. The highlight is the amazing breakfast served in the garden, where guests can enjoy fresh orange juice from an automatic machine. The hotel also features a spa with a pool, whirlpool, steam room, and sauna that are open until late, allowing guests to relax and unwind.
