I didn't recommend any person. It is cheap hotel but far from downtown 9 Kilometers so if you want go downtown you will waste so much many far taxi or long time wait for bus.

Green homestay is a little paradise on Cat Ba island whether you are alone, as a couple or with family. We booked a very comfortable cottage. at the edge of the swimming pool, facing a beautifully maintained garden. The owner speaks English. Very professional, he was able to inform us about boat trips in Lan Ha and Ha Long bay. Scooter rental on site, excellent catering and welcoming staff.
As for the island itself, very wild and green, far from mass tourism. Preferred !

Heb genoten in dit verblijf,aardige en lieve mensen.
Als je in het centrum wil zitten is dit niet de juiste homestay/hotel voor jou.
Wil je rust is dit de juiste plek,heb ook een excursie gedaan naar Halong bay/Lan Ha en op monkey island gelopen ,alles was goed geregeld zeer de moeite waard

We stayed at Green Homestay for 2 nights during our holiday on Cat Ba island. We had one of the new rooms with the blue metal roof. We enjoyed the setting, the modern room and the space around the homestay. However it was not quiet during our stay there. What seem to be more new rooms are being constructed right next to our room, there are neighbours nearby who sometimes play music that can be heard, and on the last day in the morning a very loud machine was run at the reception area which spoiled our breakfast. If you’re sensitive to noise, I would check with the property before booking whether there is any construction still going on. If not, I can recommend this place.

Family stay with 10 and 6 year old. Good family room, good food and quiet green location. Easy local bus into Cat Ba town. Host has excellent English and local knowledge and will arrange any travel requirements. Host family give very personal attention to guests always with a happy smile.

What a fantastic stay! The rooms were very clean with modern appliances (including in the bathroom). The A/C worked very well and the pool was clean and very nice to hang out in. The real highlight is the owner and his family! He is so sweet and his kids are adorable. He went out of his way to accommodate us and we couldn’t say better things! There is also a lovely view from the pool and some of the rooms. Highly highly recommend!
