Blue Lagoon Cat Ba

If you're coming to Cat Ba stay here! The main town area has tons of construction going on and Blue Lagoon is beautiful and quiet. We stayed 3 nights in the wooden house and loved it. The staff are ultra helpful and they also make the best coffees on the Island by far! It's rustic, charming and the gardens, pooch and kitty's they have are absolutely adorable. Easy scooter hire from them too had us exploring the island in no time. Highly recommend

This chic-rustic retreat is even more beautiful and more relaxing than we expected after seeing photos and reading reviews online. Five individual cabins of different designs, each separately accessed from an outdoor café/reception area and set in a lush tropical garden and viewing out to (no kidding) a beautiful, secluded lagoon. You feel intimately connected to the natural beauty of Cat Ba island here. Special thanks to manager Mr Hung, who gave us great advice on scooter rentals, boat cruise, sightseeing, and getting to and from Hanoi. We also especially loved the tasteful cool jazz with our morning coffee and playing fetch with Gung, Blue Lagoon’s very friendly golden retriever.

We stayed our first two nights in Vietnam at Blue Lagoon.  It was everything we were hoping for! Gorgeous gardens and lagoon, kind hosts that you knew that you could trust, yummy breakfast, quiet surroundings (apart from a rooster 😄)  and a really stylish feel in the way that everything was presented (including the quiet music being played in the reception/dining area.

I found Cat Ba Island to be a beautiful place, and Blue Lagoon was my favourite part of it. Kind, attentive and helpful staff, two beautiful dogs, a lovely breakfast, a rich and fertile garden. All of this combined with wonderfully aesthetic, comfortable and clean accomodation, nestled at the bottom of a jungle-covered mountain, down a small laneway next to a lake. The rooms are small, and the accomodation is about a 30-minute walk from the main town, but the warmth, peace and tranquility of this location are well worth it. You simply must stay here if you are spending time on Cat Ba Island.

Wonderful stay on the lagoon. Probably the best hotel in Cat Ba. I highly recommend. They serve really good coffee and have delicious crepes for breakfast. If you are taking a cruise, stay here the night after or the day before. It will make your trip more relaxing. 😍

Lovely little Homestay in a quiet location right by the lagoon. Motorbikes available for hire, which you will need to get into town. The rooms are set in a fabulous garden. They are basic but clean and comfortable. Staff are fantastic, very welcoming and helpful. If you are a dog lover you will fall in love with Gung (Ginger), a soppy friendly Golden Retriever. Great place to stay, away from town, if you want to explore the island
