This is my second visit. The Italian course was delicious and I would definitely like to come again. I wasn't able to try the risotto this time, so next time I'd like to try a bite of it. I'm over 60 years old and I couldn't eat a lot, so thank you for accommodating my request for a smaller portion. The fresh cheese and the prosciutto and fig appetizer were excellent. However, the sirloin for dinner and the salad with the Japanese beef shabu-shabu for breakfast were too fatty for me. If there was a fillet or red meat, it would be appreciated by older people. The hotel-made bread is as delicious as ever, and although I say I eat less now, I had a second helping of focaccia. I thought the same last time, but the private baths that you can use whenever you want are great because you're not tied to a reservation time. There are two private baths, one of which requires a reservation, but from early in the morning you can use either one whenever you want, and I was always able to use either one. You can enjoy the view of Sounzan from the terrace and relax in the hot water. The bathroom and tub are spacious, and there are three showers, so I think it's a very convenient bath. I usually choose a room with an open-air hot spring bath attached to the room, but because there is this private bath, I think a standard twin room with only a shower booth is enough. I often come to Hakone, but this is my first time here at this time of year (it gets crowded during summer vacation (lol)), and I was impressed by the mountain lilies in full bloom on both sides of the national highway coming from Gotemba here. They were also displayed in the lobby and bar, and were beautiful.
