Back from an amazing stay at Greenbank Guest Cottages. We absolutely love it here. After not being able to go for a few years we just came back and booked Greenbank for next September also. You can not find better views right from your cottage. Our cottage -Saltwinds had a kitchen and full bath and a beautiful out door patio. Melanie is wonderful and runs the place. Very helpful with anything you need. We loved sitting out on our patio watching the sun set each evening. It is not a luxury hotel, but a warm and welcoming place with great views and dock to swim off. It’s our home when we are in Bermuda.

We've all seen the great reviews for the Greenback from professional travel sites and independent travelers but with the exception of one review I read prior to our trip in reviews on Tripadvisor, no one is mentioning the obvious mustiness in the rooms. It is clear as soon as you open the door for your stay. We left the windows open during the day and evening to try to help the situation, but it didn't work too well. An air conditioner or dehumidifier would do the trick but after all of these years, it hasn't been purchased yet. I used a blow dryer for 2 hours the night before our departure to dry all of our clothes that we had worn as well as those hanging in the closet. Not a good situation. Reinhardt is an excellent maintenance/housekeeper/go-to employee on the premises and his kindness and efforts are appreciated. Seems to work 24/7. The views are just as seen on the ads - waterfront. Pretty nice being that close but not the beautiful blue color. I sent some questions to Melanie prior to our stay and received incorrect info. I was trying to get accurate info because it was difficult to find through various sources. One question pertained to the bus stop. The bus stop closest to the Cottages is about a 12 minute walk to Middle Rd and is only Bus #8 to Hamilton, not #7 as she thought. At this time of writing, the taxi fee from the airport is $37.40 plus tip (if driving on Middle Rd - more if on Harbor Rd). The fee is based on mileage and is government controlled. Not the $50 Melanie said. The Salt Kettle ferry is a few minutes walk, but has limited hours. The last run from Salt Kettle is 6:25 on weekdays; and 5:05 on weekends. If we wanted to eat dinner in Hamilton, we had to take the bus back to the Cottages. You are not allowed to bring beach chairs on the buses. Although, Melanie told me you were able to. Bermuda is an absolutely beautiful island, and we will be back for sure, but we will stay in an alternative lodging due to the terrible mustiness in the cottages.

Although we only stayed a couple of nights in a Greenbank cottage it was ideally situated for our visit being a two minute walk from the ferry to Hamilton. The cottages were cosy and spotlessly clean. Staff were excellent, owner Melanie was so helpful when I lost my key and Reinhard when my phone wouldn’t charge. Had we stayed longer we would have taken advantage of the kitchenettes which were well equipped. If we are ever lucky enough to come back to Bermuda we would certainly stay there again.

Spent three nights at Greenbank while on business in Bermuda. Could not have been more pleased. This is a comfortable guest house consisting of individual bungalows near the Salt Kettle ferry. It has idyllic views across the bay towards Hamilton and the islands. Melanie and her mother could not have been more welcoming hostesses. The bungalow was clean and comfortable with aircon. There was a small kitchenette with a microwave and refrigerator. The gardens are beautiful and very well tended. This is not the Hamilton Princess, but it doesn’t charge Fairmont prices, either. If you want clean and comfortable, reasonably priced accommodation near the city, this is the place to go. Recommended.

We are yearly, repeat visitors who typically stay for 2 weeks. Superb location from a island point of view. Clean but modest accommodations. Excellent on site staff member. Love the swimming dock and the amazing sunsets.

Property was clean and tidy in a lovely garden setting. The pathway leads past cottages on the left that have water views of the harbor facing west. Wonderful scenic views especially in the evening with the sunsets. The rooms were comfortable and homey with everything needed for our stay. Kitchenette was adequate for our needs. Bathroom was spacious. Bed/ sitting area gave us enough room to relax when at the guest house. All in all another pleasant experience for my third stay here!

We have visited Bermuda many times. Our accommodations have ranged from large resort hotels to small intimate guest houses. We recently stayed, for the first time, at Greenbank Guesthouse and Cottages in Paget for 10 nights. The property sits with a magnificent view over the water to the private Hinson’s Island and into the Great Sound. The tranquility is only interrupted, pleasantly, by occasional boat traffic. The scene is beautiful at all times, but absolutely stunning at sunset. The lawn runs down towards the water, where one can find a small dock with a swim-ladder to take a refreshing plunge. It is also, conveniently, just across the lane from the Salt Kettle Ferry stop which can make much of Bermuda accessible for much of the day. We stayed in a little cottage (Coconut) looking out over the water with a small kitchenette and a large comfortable bedroom. The kitchenette was small but functional. It was bright, with windows on two sides which looked out over the water. A great spot to enjoy morning coffee. The bedroom was very comfortable. Our unit included shampoo, conditioner and bath soap. We also spent a good deal of time on the dedicated patio, with chairs, table, and umbrella, as well as two lounge chairs. And that view. The innkeeper, Melanie, was helpful and gracious. Maintenance and housekeeping was seen to by Reinhart, a figure of constant motion. Inside, our cottage was very clean. We had an issue, due to our own ineptitude, with an appliance and he promptly resolved it. In addition, we saw him aloft trimming some excess foliage from a tree more than once. He, too, was very personable and gracious. Melanie is on the property during the day and is accessible by cell during off hours. Reinhart lives on the property. We thoroughly enjoyed Greenbank. The view, the facility, and most importantly the folks who run the place made Greenbank a great home-base to take in the gem that is Bermuda.

I have been to Bermuda 30+ times, maybe 40, This was my partner's 1st. We planned a last minute getaway. Our desire was to have some self catering options but also to dine around. Having been a Bermuda Destination Specialist/TravelConsultant in the past, I knew the Salt Kettle area. I contacted Melanie, the owner and was offered a seaside king cottage for our 4 night stay. When we arrived, we knew we had made it to Bermuda heaven. The cottage was on the water. The setting is Hamilton Harbour. The views of the ferries, islands and later, the sunset daily, was magical. Our room afforded comfortable furnishings with a king bed, window AC and cute kitchen, equipped for light meal prep. Outside, we had our own quiet patio with expansive views. There was a swimming dock and plenty of Adirondack chairs for sunning or sipping wine or drinks at sunset. The local ferry runs during work hours to bring you into town. It was a fun ride on Wed. on the last ferry so we could enjoy Harbour Nights, the local event held weekly, in season. Overall, our trip was perfect due to our choice of accommodations. Everything flowed and we left, rested and counting down until our next trip.
