We recently stayed at the Sindbad Hotel and were blown away by the amazing hospitality. The staff are the best part of the experience—always friendly, attentive, and going above and beyond to make guests feel special. Even the room cleaning staff went the extra mile, decorating the bed with petals and creative designs, which was a lovely touch. That said, the resort seems better suited for older travelers rather than families with children. During our stay, 90% of the guests were elderly, and we only saw one other family with kids by the third day. There’s little for kids to do, and the lack of a kid-friendly atmosphere was a letdown. Another major downside was the prevalence of smoking. Guests smoked freely in many areas, with little consideration for the impact of secondhand smoke, particularly on children. This was a significant negative for us. The lack of complimentary water in the rooms also felt like a ripoff. We had to buy every bottle for 12 dinars, whether in the room or at the restaurants, which quickly added up. The buffet food was average and became repetitive after a few days. We suspect some dishes were recycled rather than freshly prepared daily, which was disappointing. However, the live cooking stations at breakfast and dinner were excellent, offering freshly made and delicious options. The restaurant staff were fantastic, providing top-notch service that helped offset the monotony of the buffet. We also tried the spa and massage services, but unfortunately, they were underwhelming. The therapists were enthusiastic but lacked proper technique—it felt more like basic pressing and rubbing rather than a skilled massage. For the price, it was fair, but not memorable compared to other countries we’ve visited. The standout activity was quad biking, which we highly recommend. Although there was an extra charge for this activity Overall, while the Sindbad Hotel offers exceptional hospitality and great service, it falls short in other areas. The smoking, lack of kid-friendly amenities, repetitive food, and average spa experience made it less ideal for families and young couples. If you’re traveling with kids, consider these factors before booking. However, for older travelers, it may be a more fitting choice.

The hotel was absolutely stunning, exploring the grounds was an adventure in itself and my room was super comfortable. The sea view at the beach was breathtaking. The super friendly and attentive staff was par excellence. The various restaurants with excellent selections of foods and live music was sensational.

From the moment I arrived every member of staff is happy to help they just couldn't be any freindlier the rooms are superb and spotlessly kept, I came to chill out and get away from the miserable weather we were having back in Yorkshire the beach which is literally 50m away from my room is also kept clean chairs or sun beds on offer as soon as you get down the stairs included as a resident of the hotel also with a lovely beach bar which offers light snacks and drinks this place is a real jem the restaurant for breakfast and dinner has multiple choices of all types of dishes enough to satisfy any foodie definitely 5 star I will almost certainly be looking to book again. I would also like to thank jalila and rest of the staff for putting up with my messiness what a fantastic job you do keep up the good work.

We had a great time visiting The Sinbad hotel. Great location and beach front. All staff were very welcoming and helpful. Room was great, Very spacious and comfortable also very clean. Ladies left fresh flowers daily. And were very polite. We dined in the main restaurant for breakfast and evening meal. All staff again were extremely helpful and polite. Lots of smiles from them all. Nothing was a problem. Great service , Well done to you all. Great food choices every day. Very tasty food.
