Food options at breakfast and dinner were decent. We are glad we went for the half board option. Desserts were really nice. Free access to indoor heated pools were really good and jacuzzi. Great view from our bedroom with two balconies. ATM and money exchange was available at the hotel. Corner shops and food shops also nearby. Evening entertainment bit loud. Beautiful view of seafront and walkable to beach with unlimited drinks. Spacious rooms and quiet. Sadly bedsheets were dirty did request for them to be changed but were still bubbly and very uncomfortable to sleep in. Pillows were too soft. Carpets a bit run down in hotel and smell of cigarettes in corridors. Requested iron three times and didnt get it till next day. Any additional water bottles for the room we were told had an extra charge. Decent hotel for a short stay.

An old hotel in Hammamet resort, with a unique location, clear blue water, and a decent buffet with many choices. Suitable for a slow-paced sunbathing holiday

I am giving stars between 1 and 5 for the following. Hotel appearance and cleanliness 5* All staff 5* Entertainment 1* Surrounding area 1* Food 0* Beach 3* Why ? read on. Hotel is spotlessly clean in all areas. Staff go out of their way to be polite , helpful . Entertainment, just didn't do it for us , dancers , solo singers , solo musicians. Surrounding area looks like it has been bombed , we were going to walk to the marina but only got as far as a supermarket, we had to walk most of the way on the road as what bits of pavement that weren't cracked and uneven had vehicles parked on them. Food Breakfast Lunch and Dinner All the plates are cold ,There are no hot plates. 90% of the hot food was cold Hot food should be stored at 65c or above. Cold food should be stored at 5c or below. At no time during our 2 week stay did we see any members of staff checking the food temperatures with a thermal probe and recording the temperatures. Tunisian speciality restaurant. You have to choose your main meal in advance. We chose Lamb couscous served in a tangine Starters were fine , alarm bells started to ring when the waiter brought out the tangine that should of been cooked in the oven with his bare hands , needless to say the food was stone cold. We called the waiter to say the food was cold. He apologised , went to get another two. He returned with 2 more , stone cold again. We walked out. Beach We only went once , not very picturesque. Quite a lot of rubbish . We will not return.

I had a 4 night all inclusive break to Hotel Royal Azur. The hotel was very clean and all staff were friendly. The restaurant was also clean ( remember to tip the waiting staff, you will get a better service ). The food wasn't piping hot but there was a wide range so you should find something even if you are a fussy eater. Only downside is you have to ask for a spoon! They don't put then on the tables with your cutlery. It was out of season so there was low entertainment, you do have the use of the hotel next door, we did go and use the heated indoor pool/jacuzzi as one day the weather was a little drizzly. You do have to go down steps to the beach and for those who have trouble with steps there is a lift and then a few steps ( no handrails ). We venture just outside of the hotel and felt safe. It was a very relaxing break and I would recommend this hotel.

First time visit to Tunisia. Week all inclusive here. Not usually a fan of AI, prefer to have some variety. I’d say it was a good enough choice here as food options in Hammamet did not look too great tbh. Though the fact it was Ramadan may have had an impact. Hotel is attractive, rooms were pleasant and cleaning was good. Pool areas were very nice and there were usually plenty of loungers. Bit of a pain trying to get towels for the loungers, There were guys who had them, they would tend to give you one, or say they will bring them to you, I’d say expecting a tip. There was a difference to the way you were treated by bar staff/ pool drink staff dependent on whether you gave them a tip. No tip and expect to wait, give a tip and you will see drinks, olives, cheese etc. I’m not a fan of tipping to be honest, and I found it mildly annoying but you pay your money and take your choice. Food. Got a bit repetitive, but it was better than I had expected. There was a lot of lukewarm food. But if you watched for the fresh stuff you would mostly be alright. We did look at the sister hotel Bel Azur as we could eat and drink there too. It was fine, but not as nice. I would definitely return.
