Hanoi Riverview Boutique Hotel & Apartment

The hotel is very new, the room is spacious, there is a small balcony, and the facilities are sufficient. It is about a 20-minute drive from the old town. It is probably faster to take a motorcycle to the old town during the day. It is close to the West Lake, about a 15-minute walk. There are many coffee shops by the lake. It is not far from the Lotus Buffet. At the same time, because it is far from the old town, the one-day tour to Halong Bay generally does not provide pick-up and drop-off, and you have to go to the old town to gather by yourself. The hotel staff are very kind and patient, and the front desk English is also good, so there is no communication difficulty. (I don’t know if they can speak Chinese) The fragrance in the room is too strong, and the nose is a bit uncomfortable. If the doors and windows are open, there will be small flying insects at night. If they are not opened, the fragrance plus the smell of new furniture will be a bit uncomfortable. There are many dogs barking outside at night, especially loudly, and they keep barking for hours. There is also a wolf-like howling sound. I haven’t fallen asleep yet at 1:30 in the morning. (The staff said that it is not like this usually, but it was particularly strange on the day I went there, barking all night 😓)

I was so lucky today! As soon as I arrived at the hotel, the front desk lady (Xuan Zhuang) greeted me in fluent Chinese, which was very cute. She kept giving me all kinds of delicious food, such as cookies, fruits, and drinks, and kept saying "free, don't worry", for fear that I would be embarrassed. What surprised me even more was that she actually helped me put together a super detailed guide to Hanoi, listing the top ten attractions, even planning the route, and printed it out for me. I thought this was thoughtful enough, but I didn't expect there would be a bigger surprise! Because the hotel lubby was being renovated, the boss came over in person and said he was afraid of disturbing me, and offered to change my room. I thought the renovation time was not long, so I could just make do with it, but I was directly upgraded to a VIP big room! The room is super large and comfortable, the view is also very good, and you can also enjoy a home theater, which is simply amazing🤩 And I really joined the Hanoi motorcycle army, because the boss has a motorcycle for me to ride for free haha😄 This stay experience is really great, the boss and the front desk lady are very warm
