This place is awesome! It’s a hostel so it’s rustic but you can’t beat the location! The hostel is direct in the Alt Stadt right across from the Neckar River! This is where Hemingway stayed on his visit to Heidelberg, thus the name! There is a very good restaurant down below with outside dining on the Neckar River! It’s really hopping in the evenings! Beware this hostel doesn’t have an elevator so you will have to carry your luggage up the stairs! The high ceiling rooms are sparse and the beds are big with the floors are slanted but that’s the charm in a 500 year old building! Open the windows to the views of the hills and the river. There are 2 rooms on each floor with a shared bathroom. The staff are very friendly and helpful! We will definitely be back soon!

La chambre et les sanitaires étaient très propres; en revanche, utile à savoir qu'aucune présence avant 15h de l'après-midi, pas de possibilité de faire garder des bagages, petite chambre au 4e étage (escalier étroit et tournant) sans ascenseur, pas de service de petit déjeuner.
