It has been four years since I was here. Still a great place close to all the shops and travel agencies and restaurants. It is only a short distance to the night street walking area but shielded from the noise. This is family run hotel (better word than hostel) however sadly the husband passed away so the mother and two daughters run it. Highly recommended for a short or longer stay.

We spent four nights in this hostel to explore the city and surrounding areas. The place is perfect for this, as you can easily reach many places on foot or with the cheap taxis (Grab), but there are also many agencies or buses that start their tours nearby. You can hear Bui Vien Street a bit through the windows at night, but I thought it was okay. The hostel is actually more of a simple hotel: own fridge, private bathroom, daily room service and water and bananas. The shared kitchen was clean and well-equipped. The staff is a big family and can barely speak English, but they are friendly and we got by using Google Translate. We were able to spontaneously book an extra night on site. The roof terrace invites you to linger. There is a laundry next door where you can do laundry for just a few euros. The beds are a bit hard. Unfortunately, there were hardly any other European guests at the time, so there was no "hostel vibe", but that's more due to the general absence of Europeans in Vietnam at the moment, e.g. by covid. And don't be confused, the picture of the hostel from the outside is not true, it is quite hidden in a small alley. Overall really recommended.
