"We arrived at 3pm. The single room without window we booked was fully booked so we were replaced with a standard room with window. Breakfast is not included in the room rate, but the boss is very nice and let us eat directly at the breakfast stall in town. I tried black bean powder, water chestnut powder, fried fish, and homemade porridge, and they all tasted pretty good. The owner of the store also invited me to have dinner with her (we had already eaten in the ancient town so we didn’t go back).
The room is relatively new and very clean. The basic facilities are quite complete. There is no drinking water or cups (disposable cups can be found at the front desk).
It is located about 100 m near the east gate of the ancient town, and the entrance is not far down the stairs.
The price during the May Day holiday will be more than 100 points higher than the daily price."

Environment: The environment is relatively good compared to the average B&B.

"The surrounding transportation is quite convenient. We put our luggage and went to Shuierdi Wharf to take a bamboo raft. The house is more affordable in Yangshuo, but the facilities are a little worse, and the hot water is not hot enough. But there is Yulong River Dam outside the hotel. Sanitation: Very clean! We also upgraded to a room with a view. In the morning, we can see the beautiful scenery when we open the window. It's great!

DDi TanThis charming, ancient house turned family-run hotel is nestled within the historic city walls (note that even as a hotel guest, you’ll need to purchase an entrance ticket to access the city). Beautifully decorated, it exudes authentic charm, but it feels more like a homestay than a hotel, with its pros and cons.
The warm landlady’s hospitality and generosity were slightly hindered by the language barrier (as we regrettably don’t speak Chinese). However, her helpful daughter bridged the gap via WeChat, providing tips, arranging transportation, and ensuring a smooth stay.
All in all, it’s an excellent choice for travelers seeking a personal touch and a culturally immersive experience.
