Very Good
EEeeekayI had a great stay here, and the service was excellent. I was able to do an early check-in at 2:00 PM, which was a huge help, as the original check-in time was 3:00 PM. Check-in and check-out were both super easy and fast. Most importantly, the cleanliness is top—the rooms were immaculate.
Location: Almost Perfect
The location is almost perfect because it is right next to the Mong Kok East station. However, for some reason, all of our plans required us to use either Mong Kok station or Prince Edward station, not the East station. This meant we needed to walk about 7 minutes every time we wanted to travel, which added up quickly.
Hotel Access
The hotel is conveniently linked directly to the MOKO mall. Just be aware that the direct access from the mall closes at 11:00 PM. If you return later than that, you will need to re-route a longer way to the hotel's main door, and I barely even saw what the main entrance looks like!
Key Suggestion for Travelers
If your flight reaches Hong Kong very early, like 4:00 AM, I strongly suggest you rent an extra day earlier. This way, you can check in immediately upon reaching the hotel and won't have to wait until 3:00 PM for check-in, as waiting is very tiring after a long flight.
MMeiyouqianbaodeyuganI visit Hong Kong frequently, and this hotel has offered the best experience by far. The staff, both at the front desk and in the restaurant, were incredibly polite and could all communicate in Mandarin. They were also genuinely warm and welcoming. For breakfast, there was a great variety of set menus, and everything was delicious!
ZZongxiangConvenient location and good value for money. The room was relatively clean, and the size is quite decent for Hong Kong. Both the front desk and housekeeping staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside was the restaurant's front desk this morning. I had a complimentary coffee voucher from the hotel and asked for a takeaway. The staff asked me to wait five minutes, but when I returned, it hadn't even been prepared yet. She wasn't busy with anything at all during those five minutes, so I had to stand there and wait for her to make it from scratch. This is the only negative point.
DDxnxxlWonderful stay! I booked Rosedale Hotel Hong Kong through Trip.com and the process was seamless — instant confirmation, easy check-in and everything matched the listing perfectly. The hotel staff were friendly and efficient, my room was clean and comfortable with all the essentials, and the location was excellent for exploring Causeway Bay and getting around the city. Great value for money and a stress-free booking experience. I’d definitely stay here again!
CChristopher John GrayConveniently located, comfortable hotel just a few minutes walk from Hong Kong station if you're coming into town from the airport.
Rooms are relatively large and nicely appointed with a work desk, fridge and kettle with a small selection of tea and coffee samples. There's no bottled water but there's a 7/11 just a minute's walk from the foyer.
Best of all, you're surrounded by a plethora of cafes and restaurants to suit all budgets.
AAnonymous UserFirst off, we tried to cancel our reservation because our child was unwell, but the hotel wouldn't budge. Luckily, our child recovered, so we came to Hong Kong. After checking in, we had a lot of luggage, and no concierge offered to help. The hotel also doesn't provide complimentary bottled water; you have to buy it yourself. Even extra toiletries cost money. They do have a free shuttle bus to Tsuen Wan Station and Tsuen Wan West Station, which is very convenient. We booked a sea view suite, and the view was indeed lovely. I've stayed here a few times before, but this was definitely my worst experience.
GGuest UserThe towels were one use and made out of recycled paper, very uncorfortable. The room was tiny and couldn’t even put our luggage on the floor to tidy things up, we had to do it on the bed. We had to store the luggage under the bed.
The “clean the room” lable is in opposite colours, with green meaning to not clean. We did not read it and thus we did not have towels. The air conditioner was broken and our room was over 35 degrees. We went to the reception to ask for towels and report the aircon issue( it was 12pm) and it was closed. A person was sitting on a sofa outside (we though it was a costumer) and when we complain the next day they told us this person was the the 24hour receptionist, but he saw us at the reception and didn’t speak to us.
After revising the air condition they gave us a new room on a different floor, with no upgrades of any kind although we had a horrible night at 35 degrees approx on a bed that barely fit the both of us. The new room was even smaller.
AAnonymous UserIt's really clean, and the location is easy to find. The soundproofing is good, and the room was cleaned daily. The cleaning staff even folded my pajamas, which was very thoughtful. The only minor downsides were that the sink was a bit low and the faucet didn't swivel, so splashing water while washing my face was unavoidable. Other than that, everything else was great. The rooms all come with a safe and a mini-fridge.
GGuest UserExcellent stay! The front desk lady was incredibly helpful; she saw us with large luggage and proactively offered to assist. We even left a necklace behind when checking out, and she kindly left a note to remind us. The room was compact but well-equipped. Most importantly, the hotel's location is fantastic – a mere 200 meters from the subway station. Downstairs, the area is bustling with snack shops, a McDonald's, and local 'bing sutt' style cafes. The price is reasonable, and unlike some older tenement buildings, the hotel isn't rundown. The corridors were also quite clean and well-maintained. The only drawback is the lack of an elevator, but that was manageable. Overall, a very pleasant two-night stay. I would definitely choose this place again on my next visit because it's such great value for money, especially at just over HKD 300 per night during the August peak season. I genuinely recommend it to anyone on a budget!
SSuchengdourongdingThe room was absolutely fantastic – clean and comfortable, and it's rare to find such a spacious sofa and a proper desk in a prime location like Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. The shower had multiple heads and came with Jurlique toiletries. The bedding was incredibly soft and comfy, the mattress was just the right firmness, and the pillows offered great support! My sleep quality definitely improved by more than a few notches. The hotel's soundproofing was excellent too; I hardly heard any noise!
