This is a hotel suitable only for a one-night stay while waiting for an early flight from Schiphol Airport, or if you need a few hours of rest while on the road. The hotel is located in a somewhat obscure and dimly lit industrial area right next to a highway. The entrance is far from inviting, hidden behind some man-high hedges and with a cluttered, weed-covered parking lot that could really use a good sweep and some good lighting.
Although the hotel does appear to be fairly new, both the exterior and interior give off a tired and unloved impression. The same goes for the rooms. On one hand, the rooms feature modern furniture and a modern bed; on the other hand, they are pretty spartan. There is no decoration whatsoever. The walls are painted plain white and could definitely use a fresh coat of paint. Materials used—especially in the bathroom—are of the budget DIY-store variety and feel flimsy. (The towel rack in my bathroom was loose and nearly fell off the wall. A coat hook actually did fall off when I hung up a piece of clothing.)
The beds themselves are reasonably comfortable. However, the pillow seemed like the cheapest, thinnest IKEA pillow imaginable—and it was horribly lumpy as well.
The room was fairly clean (no complaints there), and the staff was polite. There did not seem to be a lot of guest present while I was staying, so there was no noise whatsoever from other guests.
This is a lights-out-and-sleep type of hotel, but defenitely not suitable for a multi-night stay or as a base for visiting Amsterdam, for example.
