Family-friendly Hotels in Hotan

The hotel accepts foreigners. Free pickup, dropoff (airport/train station…). Reception does not speak english so translation app will help. They are very helpful, even helped me with sending a parcel. Room is old but clean and spacious. There is even a working desk with a computer. Typical business hotel for the Chinese I guess. Walking distance to Hotan Night Market (out of the hotel just turn right to Renmin road and straight to the crossroad, crossing the road then it is a tunnel-shaped building which is the night market). No hair dryer though and I could not find wifi of my room so I had to use that of the other room. In the hotel room there is a guidebook to Hotan and you can use it to ask the reception to help you catch a taxi to the destination you want. Jade market is the most famous spot here and many Han Chinese come to Hotan for that. Everything in Hotan must be taxed heavily or so (for the massive construction that is going on?!), everything is more expensive than Kashgar and other cities in Xinjiang. So at least this hotel price is quite ok for this range in Hotan.

I would definitely recommend you to stay at this hotel. The location is in the old town so it's easy to explore the shops and restaurants nearby. There's also a convenience store on the ground floor which I thought was a nice touch. The room is very spacious (even the bathroom), with lots of storage space. I like the modern decor and the shower is very good quality. My room had a nice view of the city and even included a balcony! But there wasn't a door so I couldn't access it 😞 I was a little disappointed about that. The staff at reception were extremely helpful and friendly. There was a language barrier but that didn't stop them from helping me with my needs in a polite and professional way.

Ctrip booked a room, and there is a free upgrade service for members. As a result, the front desk saw that the free upgrade on the confirmation slip was not processed. It took a long time to negotiate. The front desk said that it had never encountered such a situation! However, the hotel room is still very good, and the quality of the waiters needs to be improved!

Opposite the hotel is the Hotan District Public Security Bureau (which is convenient for communicating with local taxi drivers, otherwise it will be troublesome to communicate and navigate with local taxi drivers) Atour is as comfortable as ever, especially the free airport/station pick-up service. Although taking a taxi from Hotan is very cheap, when you first come to the unfamiliar southern Xinjiang, this service is very worry-free and effortless. My brother Du Jiajia is very nice, give it a thumbs up (you need to contact the front desk at least one hour in advance to make a reservation for pick-up service) There is a dining area, gym, laundry room, and study bar on the second floor of the hotel. The room is equipped with a Xiaomi humidifier (very important in southern Xinjiang). Because it is a new store, it is clean and smell-free, which is rare (everyone knows it) In short, Atour at this price is unbeatable. If I come to Hotan next time, I will choose Atour again.
