Special place to stay. Made to feel very welcome and at home by Sharon and all who keep The Collingdale running so smoothly. Breakfast was very tasty with great variety. Kept very clean. Beautiful view from our window and also communal lounge. Enjoyed lovely walks nearby and particularly one to an old mill for cream tea! Highly recommend.

Well situated above Ilfracombe Harbour and we had a great view of the harbour and ocean from the room we stayed in. Due to its raised position, I would say it is unsuitable for someone who is not able to get around easily. There are a lot of nearby coves and places to explore & see. The breakfast at the Collingdale was lovely and nothing too much trouble. The hosts were also lovely. They have access to 5 private car parking spaces a short walk down the road which is a plus if you are unable to find a space on the road outside however you will need to book a space in advance.

We had a lovely 2 night stay in the Collingdale. The bed and pillows were really comfy and the bedlinen and towels were pristine. When we arrived Sharon showed us to our room that we’d booked and gave us the option to change it for another room which suited us better so we were really pleased with this option. Fabulous view of the sea from the room. Location was perfect with a nice 10 minute stroll to the harbour. Lots of choice for breakfast but highly recommend the full Devon English breakfast 10/10 superb will set you up for the day ! Would recommend the Collingdale to family and friends for a perfect place to stay in Ilfracombe.

We stayed 1 night at the collingdale. We were very impressed with the booking, information and opportunity for early lunchtime arrival. Guest house is in a super location over looking the harbour, and gentle 10 minute down hill walk. The facilities at the guest house were super, lovely lounge with great views, second lounge with honesty bar. Room very clean and had all requirements. Great choice of breakfast and cooked and presented really well. couldn’t fault it all, would definitely recommend and stay again if in the area

This bed and breakfast accomodate was absolutely fantastic. Collingdale is situated overlooking the harbour and sea but ideally situated, so it is lovely and peaceful too. Easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants down by the harbour, but if you didn't fancy the walk, we found a lovely pub/restaurant The Thatched Inn, just along the road. They have private parking that you pay £5 for per day or the local car park a short distance away. The bedrooms were lovely, and the pillows, beds, and duvets were top quality. The lounge overlooking the sea was gorgeous, an honesty bar was available, and the breakfasts were tremendous. The hosts Sharon and Daryl were lovely people, and we would absolutely come back again if we were in Ilfracombe

From the moment we arrived we were welcomed warmly and felt immediately at home, relaxed and looked after. We thought the property was absolutely charming and the staff could not have been more attentive. The property was extremely clean and the little thoughtful touches in our room did not go unnoticed, we had the best nights sleep we have had in a while in a big comfy bed. The view from our balcony was unmatched and sitting out in the morning with a coffee felt perfect. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and plentiful with beautiful views over the harbour. We look forward to returning to the Collingdale in the near future. Excellent value for our money

Delightful position close to the harbour. Sharon was lovely hostess who provided lots of useful information on arrival. Collingdale Guest House was really clean and it was lovely to have the use of the lounge on a very wet Sunday afternoon. The honesty bar was also a lovely touch. Darryl's breakfasts were amazing, the fresh fruit salad a lovely touch and Sharon and Sue's efficiency on taking the orders and making sure we had all we wanted was a great start to the day. Would definitely stay here again

After a tough couple of years, we finally got the chance for a week away. We couldn't have picked a better place to go. It was a real home from home experience. Very comfortable and very welcoming. The breakfast was amazing, so much choice and such fresh quality ingredients. Ilfracombe was wonderful, lots to do. We also drove out and explored a few of the quaint villages which are lovely and definitelyworth making the effort. Overall the kindness from Sharon and Sue (we didn't see Daryl but his breakfasts are yummy) and the comfort of the Collingdale makes it a top choice and we highly recommend to any future visitors staying in Ilfracombe. We had a very pleasant short stay in the Colingdale and couldn't fault anything about the stay. The house is a very tastefully furnished and upholstered Georgian house inn a terrace. Some of the others look faded and shabby but don't let that bother you. The Colingdale is tip top. Upon arrival, Sharon greeted us and showed us around and to our room which was spacious with a small balcony with two chairs and with a nice view over the Bristol Channel to South Wales. Some novelties were the possibility to pre order smoked haddock or kippers for breakfast (the breakfast itself was excellent and catered for all standard tastes) and a bar in the downstairs lounge area with an honesty box. Private parking is available at £5 per day. Sharon and Daryl were very friendly and helpful and we will definitely return.
