Royal Dragon Hotel

We’re to start, firstly ignore the negative comments on here about the royal dragon hotel, this hotel is absolutely fantastic, there was nothing to complain about, the hotel beautiful, the rooms amazing and very comfortable and clean, food was not the same every day at all some people said on trip adviser, the pools and beach amazing, even though the weather was not very good while away we still enjoyed every minute of our holiday, the entertainment staff brilliant as well as bar staff and waiting staff couldn’t do enough for you, we will be back next year definitely cannot wait.

I loved this hotel. It was so beautiful and the decor was amazing. Side note: (We went Aug 2023 not Sept. Wrote review late and Aug 2023 was not showing for me to select). The pool was great. It was like a curvy lagoon shape all throughout. There are plenty of sunbeds and plenty on the beach when you get to the top. A waterpark and fairground on site. Our kids loved this. Ages 4, 13, and 18. We did not use kids' clubs, our choice. We never do going abroad. There was also music, pool arobics which I really enjoyed, one day there was a huge party with a dj and a white party which was on a Wednesday. This I read in someone's elses review, which I'm glad I did otherwise I would not have known. The white part was amazing. They went all out. The setup was pretty cool. The lunchtime buffet had a good variety, and the evening food was so well presented and lots to choose from. Mcdonlads was a walk down the road, lots of shops and little bars, etc. We booked a pirate adventure cruise when we were out in the evening. Little stands with booklets to choose what you want to do. On the cruise, we had food included. You do have to pay for drinks and ice cream. They came around with a beautiful, kind parrot and took pics of us all. We bought them all and on printed plates too. Music throughout and a foam party, too. I think they were very entertaining. We did stop off at a sandy area where you can jetski, £20 pp for half hr. You could ride a camel, too. The hotel was offering jetski experience at £90 pp for half hr. We definitely got our moneys worth doing this trip. The hotel was beautiful.The rooms were lovely. The bathroom catered for a wheelchair disabled person. The bedroom itself did not. We found the bed too high for a disabled person to get on and off, hence slipping off the bed. The hotel manager was brilliant and came up with idea of taking the six legs off the bed. Which made a big difference The rooms were spotless.The beds were very comfortable. The hotel staff were friendly enough but we found they catered more for the Germans.They have a lot of German tourists.Most of the hotel staff spoke mainly German Christmas Eve and New Year Eve were brilliant.The staff put on a Gala night. Christmas Day was a bit of a letdown as not much going on there until late in the evening. Overall though it was a good holiday

Basically this is a very average Turkish hotel, have stayed in many in the Antalya area this is the worst.. 1: Drinks are terrible apart from the beer which is Effes can't go wrong with that, if you like a good vodka, Gin, jack Daniels etc bring your own as these are cheap and not cheerful. 2: Staff generally grumpy or do not understand what you want, ask for red wine get white, ask for vodka tonic get sprite etc... 3: pools are too crowded, feels very crammed with sunbeds, get up early if you want to claim one as people were up at 6 am claiming them which is annoying but you can deal with it. Tiles are so slippery and boiling hot ridiculous choice for around the pool. 4: Food is pretty good but it is literally the same thing everyday but all inclusive so expect that. Al la carte are empty as they charge far too much so never bothered. 5: Beware of very rude Russians the hotel is full of them, what a horrible nation they are yet to meet a decent one!!!! Would not return here and would definitely not recommend. Plus side the slides are good, beach is pretty good plenty of loungers beware of the hottest sand in the world though

We were there for Xmas. The rooms are very good and well appointed with large showers and a nice vanity. Good quality toiletries . What let the whole experience down was the of customer service ! 1 we were nearly always spoken to in German and when we said we were British staff generally went ok then ignored us. 2 T getting a table for dinner was a joke. I even complained to the restaurant manager and got well we are a hotel? This is supposed to be 5 Star but we have had better in travel lodge in the UK. There was nothing for Xmas Day as the Germans have Xmas Eve as there celebration. 3 The food was well presented but very predictable. 4. The bar service was slow and not very attentive. In conclusion I wouldn't go back

The hotel itself was very well presented, the public rooms and the guest rooms were clean and tidy, and in a well kept state. The hotel is not really geared up for British Travellers, with the bias on German and Turkish guests approx 90 percent to 10 percent British. The food was of good quality, but again of strange mixtures for example, at breakfast there was a cauliflower saute, brussell sprouts floating in some form of liquid, mashed potatoes. It appears that these strange items are very popular with people other than Brits. We were there over Christmas, which was a non event. The tables were dressed Christmas eve, but the food was a repetition of the days previously with the highlight being lamb chops, which were very good, but not a Christmas favourite. Being a Muslim country and apparantly hotel no bacon or real sausages were served, there were eggs cooked to order and also ommlettes, which again were edible. I can only say there was always something to eat, but it wasn't something to get overjoyed about. The drinks were varied with a few imported makes except if you are a Gin drinker, then you have yo put up with Turkish gin, the beer was ok as it was Effes. The staff ere very friendly and attentive. The 2 A'lacarte restaurants we tried the Asian and the Italian were very good and reasonable at 20 euros per person. The location is so so, but there are regular Domus services into Side, for a couple of euros. If you are looking for a nice hotel but not worried about the food served to you, then this hotel would be ideal
