The New View by Ecotel

This trip was an overbooking on their end but instead of taking accountability, they kept on it’s not in their list of partners. How come if the hotel and rooms are listed here? They told me to stand by as it will be refunded but no refund was made as of this writing. The Trip.com issued a confirmation email as soon as I paid online and yet they also kept on saying they did not confirm on their end. How they handle customer complaints is lousy and not empathetic.

Even for the cheap price, this is the worst hotel I stayed at in my last 25 years of travels. I should not expect so much for the price perhaps. So, I will put aside the no hot water (although there is a water heater in the shower), the bugs that crawl within the room installation due to the decaying wood, the lack of room to lay flat suitcase, the two total plug outlets in the room, no service phone in room, the loudest neighbors during the night probably due to their annual festival, the lack of a lift to walk up to the lobby for those with seniors or mobility issues... What made it unacceptable was their service attitude. On our last night, our air con stopped working at around midnight. I walked down to the front desk and mentioned to the 2 ladies about it. They spoke little to zero English so this lady on the couch (I don't know if she is a boss, a staff, a random person as she had no badge), signaled if we can go up to the room to see. I stopped her from barging into the room as my wife was sleeping and told her to wait and let me ask my wife first. She came into the room and had no clue how to fix it. She was instructing me to fix it in tagalog and proceeded to step onto our bed to reach the air con.... an absolutely joke. 20 mins later, I went down again and asked for a fan. Not a single word of sorry, the receptionist cane up and dropped off a fan, passed it to me and walked away. Locate other budget hotels in the area. Lack of respect and courtesy. Unprofessional handling of an easy situation.

With the price ranges. I am very much happy staying with the Hotel. Personnel are very accomodating, clean room and excellent services. Thank you HK Rovie for exteding help during my stay in the Hotel. See you on my next visit! Good luck to the team as well. Keep it up!
