"The room was very clean and had a view of the village gate. The location is super convenient, just the first guesthouse on the left inside the gate. The owners are incredibly nice and thoughtful, even offering free pickup and drop-off from the high-speed train station. This saved us the shuttle bus fare from the scenic area entrance to the village, such great value! My parents' room seemed to have been recently renovated and looked much nicer than the photos when we booked."

"Cons: - stained towels and bed linen (I wouldn't care, but this hotel is 4 times more expensive than cheap hostels I usually stay in China, so I expect more) - I found a big spider the size of a hand in my room (but to be honest: I don't blame the owners for that because the spider could just come from the window, so it's not their fault) - the staff doesn't speak English Pros: - It is the cheapest hotel with license to give an accommodation for foreigners in Zhaoxing. - The receptionist came to my room immediately after my call in his free time and killed that spider I was talking about above. He is my hero! :) - Apart of stained towels and bed linen the room was cleaner than other rooms in other hostels I stayed in China. - The hotel has a good location just next to the town's gate. - I have got a bottle of water for free and all toiletries."

"This guesthouse is stunning and amazing at the same time. I work in the tourism field and I have never seen such an amazing and accurated caring for guests. The host and his wife are the nicest persons ever met in my life. Knowledgable in everything, excellent professional hosts who know how to make your trip an amazing and successful trip. Rooms are clean, spacious, with all the amenities a guest needs with a really good sense for the design. At the ground floor they have such a nice space for all guests where people can relax themselves by reading, drinking a good cup of local tea or coffe and simply facing the mesmerising view of the Dong Village and experiencing an indoor campfire. We had a wonderful night around the fire with some new Chinese friends and the host too. We sang all together and there was no language barrier which could stop us. We had such a wonderful moment. One of the best in my life. Breakfast is speechless. Something extremely good with lots of varieties of food. They know how to accomodate every single request. This place is a AAAAA place. Thanks for all the beautiful memories you gave us."

"I loved this place so much that I stayed 5 nights. Yang the owner speaks perfect English. I rang the day before and he was waiting at the train station with my name on a sign. He helped me organise the entrance fee. Mine was free as I'm 73 years old, even though I am a foreigner. I am travelling on my own from New Zealand. The train station pick up was free and very useful. If you take the bus it's a long way from the ticket office and bus stop into the village. Yang then transferred me into his smaller vehicle to go up the little lane to the hotel. The hotel is 5 minutes walk into the village and has a great view of the village.. It is quiet as it's a little bit away from the busy centre. The room was perfect. Everything new and very clean. And no smells. The bed was extremely comfortable with good quality bedding. I used the washing machine in the room to wash my clothes. There was tea and coffee provided. Yang took me on a full day trip to see some other local villages that have no tourists. We walked around the villages together. It was fantastic to have an English guide to explain everything. We saw people making rice wine, making indigo dye, building a house using traditional techniques. We saw a fighting buffalo. Yang chatted to the people and explained what they were doing. This was the best time I have had in China. He was a good careful driver. The breakfast was huge! So many dishes, including fruit. Yang was always available to help me with any questions and we had good talks every morning when he helped me plan my activities."

"The housekeeper proactively called us before check-in to add us on WeChat, and they responded to messages instantly. They were warm and polite. The pickup vehicle and driver were also waiting on time, providing excellent service. The room was clean and tidy, the bathroom glass door was sparkling, and the view from the window was lovely. The toiletries in the room were comprehensive, all from good brands, and they even provided a disposable bathtub liner, alcohol spray, laundry detergent, and moisturizing spray. The safety measures were also top-notch; it was my first time seeing a room equipped with not only full fire safety facilities but also an escape rope. The breakfast was well-balanced and delicious. Most importantly, the price was affordable, and it's pet-friendly with no extra cleaning fees! I truly hope this generous guesthouse expands and thrives, opening more locations in other places to give pet-owning road trippers like us more options. Please don't let those who try to take advantage and lack manners ruin your spirit. Just a small suggestion: put up two signs at the turn-off for the hotel, and add a few lights on the uphill path, as it's very dark walking back at night and easy to miss which turn it is!"

"he location was perfect! We had a beautiful room with a balcony that was spotlessly clean and offered at a great price. Best of all, we absolutely loved the host, she was incredibly helpful and caring, and truly made our stay unforgettable. She helped us wash our clothes, helped us plan some trips and offered us really nice fruits to eat on our balcony. We would definitely recommend this place and would love to come back!"

"The B&B has an excellent location with fantastic views from the room. The overall decor creates a very peaceful and serene atmosphere. The room was clean, just as I expected. The service was also very thoughtful; a driver specifically picked us up from the high-speed rail station, and upon arrival, someone helped carry our luggage upstairs to the room. I especially loved their complimentary coffee, black tea, and delicious, generous breakfast. It was a wonderful B&B experience, and if I ever get the chance to visit Dong Village again, I would definitely choose to stay here!"

"The host is very friendly. Any assistance on trips and places to visit just approach the host and she will be able to provide suggestion. The room is clean and I like the warm aircond during the winter hahaha it really keeps me warm. The view from the room is superb. A place to slow down in pace and enjoy the culture and lifestyle. Logistics to the inn is in ease with the host assistance. Thank you for having us."

"The experience of Tianzhiyi B&B in Zhaoxing Dongzhai is great! The location is excellent, just next to the main street, it is very convenient to visit the stockade, and you can enjoy the super beautiful panoramic view of Dongzhai and night view at night on the observation deck. The room was clean and tidy, and the room type we lived in also had a small balcony where we could see the scenery. The boss and the clerk are very enthusiastic, answer all questions, and recommend the surrounding tour routes to us. Next time I come to Zhaoxing, I will definitely choose here! highly recommended!"
