I stayed at this hotel with my family, including an infant. Since I was traveling with an infant, cleanliness—especially the floor—is extremely important to me. Sadly, this hotel did not meet basic cleanliness expectations. There was a lot of hair on the floor from previous guests. I did call the front desk to request housekeeping to clean the room, but nothing was done after that. Honestly, it was disappointing. The bathroom was even worse. The pipe was leaking.
In terms of amenities, they only provided a toothbrush and one other basic item. For a hotel at this level, I really didn’t expect such minimal amenities. I was surprised that they only gave us one toothbrush when it was clearly a room for two people.
On a positive note, breakfast was a pleasant experience. While the variety wasn’t extensive, it was more than enough for a family, including my child. The staff at breakfast were also extremely helpful—they even gave us a kid’s set and helped clean up after my child finished eating. That made the experience feel a bit more family-friendly.
Check-out was fast and smooth. However, check-in was a bit slow as they said the room wasn’t ready, even though I arrived at 2PM (check-in policy is 3PM). I would have appreciated it if they had shown more consideration, especially since I had a baby with me. There was also no baby cot or any baby-related facility offered.
All in all, if you can find a cheaper hotel, it might be a better value—this one felt just average, nothing special. There was no game room or other family-friendly facilities besides a basic swimming pool. For a hotel marketed at this level, it was pretty underwhelming.
On the bright side, the location is great—just walking distance to Ipoh Parade Mall, which was very convenient.
