Hotel San Valentino Terme

My first experience at the Hotel San Valentino Terme. I stayed with my mother for two weeks, and we took the opportunity to have spa treatments. The hotel is family-run, and this is immediately evident thanks to the strong personal character of the structure. The interior spaces are very well looked after and also reserve some surprises that I will leave to those who have never been there to discover. At the front desk we were welcomed by the young and brilliant staff, whom we sincerely thank. Everyone was kind and helpful, promptly responding to our every request. Our rooms had some small flaws, it's true. However, after a couple of days, we no longer noticed it. The rooms were very spacious and each had a comfortable terrace. The cleaning was excellent, and special praise goes to the cleaning ladies. The rooms and common areas were always perfectly tidy and clean, with the floors of the common areas cleaned several times a day, becoming real mirrors! The garden is cared for down to the smallest detail. I was impressed by the care of the plants and surrounding vegetation. The outdoor pool is really beautiful, with a very welcoming bar area, and is a pleasant place to relax during hot days if you choose not to go to the beach. In the evening, however, you can sit in the lounges of the other outdoor bar to have a chat or have a drink. Special thanks also go to the girls at the bar, always kind and smiling. Having chosen half board, I can also judge the dishes offered. Every evening, in addition to a rich vegetable buffet, you can choose between three first courses, three second courses, dessert or fruit. The cuisine is excellent and it is not easy to please a demanding woman like my mother. We also thank the restaurant staff who were always nice and kind, and let's not forget to thank the chef for his excellent work behind the scenes. You can go to the center on foot. It's a pleasant walk of about 15 minutes. More or less the same distance if you want to go to the nearest beach. But in case you don't want to go on foot, the hotel offers its guests a free shuttle service. We also give a very positive opinion of the spa. The treatments are excellent and the two thermal pools are beautiful. We had a very good time and thank all the staff for their professionalism and courtesy. And finally, the icing on the cake! The owner, the soul of the hotel, Mr. Michele, who often entertains guests in the evening before dinner by playing mostly Neapolitan music on the piano, creating a beautiful atmosphere. Furthermore, every Friday, during the evening of musical entertainment, he performs, proving that he is not only a good host but also an excellent singer. His performances are a real gift for guests. excellent room cleaning. good outdoor pool maintenance. perfect spa and staff. The internal structure of the hotel is old, the rooms (superior category) are not equipped with safe, the wardrobes without locks, the furniture is very old. The noisy air conditioning system. The catering was disappointing. Considering the season of the first fruits (tomatoes, courgettes, aubergines, cucumbers) we had to settle for FROZEN cauliflower, fennel, spinach. The breakfast buffet is also disappointing: peaches in syrup to replace fresh fruit, apples and bananas. The croissants were raw on the inside. The staff at the tables rushed, rude and surly.

Wonderful experience in this beautiful structure where we were welcomed by friendly but professional staff at the same time, the common areas starting from the beautiful hall to finish at the swimming pools and the spa activities are of an excellent standard. Partendo dall’esterno struttura vecchia e fatiscente e giardino al limite del non curato. Entrando confermo struttura “vecchia e fatiscente” e passando alle camere, sporche e piene di polvere come si evince dalla foto, e altrettanto vecchie e fatiscenti. Passando al ristorante, per ben due volte gli è stato chiesto di cambiare i tovaglioli perché sporchi di rossetto. Nel menù , come secondo , richiesto “filetto di dentice”, ma all’arrivo del piatto un filettino di spigola/orata. Più che un ristorante possiamo parlare di mensa. Considerato un hotel**** ma ne vale a malapena ***. Piscina sporca e poco curata con del verdastro sulle scale e sul fondo. Vivamente sconsigliato.

Hotel servito dell’essenziale, camere pulite e semplici. Personale super gentile e disponibile. Colazione ottima, con scelta ampia soprattutto dei dolci. Posizione a 10 min a piedi da spiaggia dei pescatori, e da Ischia Ponte e a 20 min a piedi da Ischia porto. Hanno una navetta gratuita per spiaggia e centro, che va prenotata. Io non ne ho mai usufruito. La fermata del bus è a 100 mt. L’hotel dispone di una piscina termale e di un centro sauna e massaggi. Non ne ho usufruito. Possibile anche cenare e pranzare, la maggior parte dei clienti sceglie questa opzione, io non l’ho scelta
