The hotel's location is very good – the metro, bus, and tram are all within easy reach. It's right in the center of Istiklal Street, so everything is within walking distance.
The cleanliness of the room, however, left a lot to be desired; the floor, in particular, was not properly cleaned upon our arrival. While someone comes to clean the room daily, you would have to request a thorough cleaning. The room size of approximately 20 square meters is adequate, but the wooden floor is in poor condition – it squeaks loudly with every step. You can hear pretty much everything from the next room.
The bathroom was clean and sufficiently large, but there was an unpleasant odor coming from the drains, which was very disturbing. The toilet seat was damaged, which meant you had to be careful when sitting on it. You had to either keep the bathroom door closed or leave the window open to reduce the smell.
The bed was quite small for a queen-size room.
The breakfast was simple but okay – the food was the same every day, but everything you needed was there. The friendly and attentive staff in the breakfast area deserves special mention. In contrast, the reception staff were rather disinterested and unhelpful.
Overall, the stay was fine, but with clear weaknesses in cleanliness and service.
