I never thought I'd have the worst hotel experience of my life, right in Istanbul. If you want to beat yourself up and experience one of the worst experiences on a trip, don't miss this terrifying hotel. If you're afraid of not hearing your alarm and need to get up early, don't worry. There's a nightclub on the ground floor and the top floor that blasts music at full volume, leaving you deaf and feeling the full vibration of the bass on the walls. It'll make you feel alive and awake (rest assured, it's not an earthquake). It's dirty (filthy), all the wallpaper is stained and peeling off the walls, the carpets smell bad and have paint all over them. My room was on the second-to-top floor next to the kitchen. The smell of fried food lingered in the room from the afternoon, and the worst part is that they didn't even offer you a canapé as compensation, haha. The bathroom was horrible, with a broken sink covered in paste they put in to cause leaks that looked like crushed squid (very disgusting). The elevator is turned off from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. to force restaurant guests to take the stairs and avoid damaging the elevator. They compensated us by changing our room to the first floor, but the noise problem persisted, and the vibration from the nightclub on the ground floor was the same. The front desk staff didn't speak a word of English, and I only managed to understand that they were giving me an extra hour after checkout for the inconvenience. It's a disgrace that they allow this hotel to operate and deceive people with fake photos. The intermediary apps need to be held accountable, and the worst part is that I see Tripadvisor doing it too.
