The hotel is not in the urban area of Kangding, but it is very close. There is a residential area opposite, and there are many vehicles passing by the road at the door. The room is not big, but the infrastructure is complete. One suggestion is that the breakfast is a bit cold. Fortunately, the porridge is hot. Also, because there is a room note when booking, but the front desk probably didn't see it, so I gave the first and last room of the 01 corridor. Hostel is at a 5min walk from the busstation which is very conventient. It is quite a walk from there to the center of the city though. It was a bit difficult to find as the entrance is at the entrance of a different hotel and you have to go to the upper floor to enter the hostel. Female dormroom is quite small and there is almost no space to leave your luggage. The bedsheets weren't clean, and clearly used before. Plenty of toilets and showers available, which were quite clean. The family who runs the hostel is very kind but they don't seem to know much about activities such as hiking in the area. Wifi available in the common area. Okay for one or two nights.

The last stop of my trip to Western Sichuan came to Kangding. I personally care about the old and new hotels. I chose a hotel that was renovated in 2024. In fact, it was renovated, but it was only the exterior corridor. The important thing is that the bathroom in the room still looks like an old hotel. It is very old! The toilet, air conditioner, TV, are new and partially renovated (the bathroom shower facilities are very old, the floor tiles still have potholes) and are not renovated at all. The hotel was built in 2008 and has been 16 years old. Forget it. More importantly, I slept with my partner. I scratched a huge itch all night. It was one or two o'clock in the morning. I was too lazy to make a call until the morning. When I woke up and washed up, I found that the plate holding the towels was moldy. I really couldn't stand the collapse. Although the attitude was very good, the hotel was being renovated. The outside guests did not live outside. I hope the hotel would take care of it. The room hygiene is good, but I still like the city of Kangding. It started to rain a little when I returned to the room at night. When the little brother saw us, he enthusiastically gave us an umbrella, but the hygiene was worrying! I rarely write reviews but my body was really itchy and there were a few little red spots on my back.

I was passing by and wanted to stay for one night, so I chose the budget hotel. Unexpectedly, prices in Tagong were actually more expensive than in Shanghai. The water in the sanitary napkin room was enlarged and flowed directly to the floor drain. Anyway, I don’t take a shower when I come to the plateau. Cold water is clean, hot water is milky white. There is plenty of hot water. Turning on the floor heating temporarily is useless. In fact, this wastes more electricity. It seems to be like this in ******* areas. It is only opened when there are guests.

The hotel is opposite the Golden Pagoda and you can see a good view from the window. It is 50 meters to the grassland and the horses are grazing next to the hotel. The breakfast of the hotel is good. This guesthouse is extremely comfortable - all the amenities are brand new and very nice (TV, water dispenser, Dyson hair dryer, electric toilet) The bed was especially comfortable. When we woke up it was a rainy day, but it was lovely to watch the view from under the blankets with a cup of tea. Later we had a yummy breakfast downstairs (Chinese buns and hot rice milk). They also had no problem to check in foreigners, although they don’t speak English (we called ahead to confirm this). It was a steep walk with our bags up the mountain, but I’m sure you could arrange a car.

The service was very good and the room was very clean. It has its own parking lot, and there are two parking lots. On the night of check-in, I asked the front desk for water. We enjoyed the opportunity to have a hotel in Kangding that provided an authentic ******* feel! The room was very comfortable with all necessary amenities covered. When we needed help to organize some logistics, the husband and wife owners went out of their way to talk with us on WeChat and solve our needs. The trip would have been difficult without their help. Overall the hotel is beautiful and comfortable, just the location is up a steep hill which was an intense walk with our backpacks.

The hotel is strategically located and quiet. The front desk was polite and welcoming. Upgraded the suite. The whole house is wooden structure. The room is spacious, clean and beautiful. The bedding is comfortable. There is floor heating. At night, I had a high headache and the front desk helped me send an oxygen inhaler. It felt much better immediately. thanks.
