Very charming hotel filled with history. It felt like I was sent back in time when i stepped in. Good place to rest and recharge after a day’s hike in the blue mountains. Hot showers and basic amenities provided for the stay

We love the deco all around the hotel. There are plenty of spots to take Instagram worthy photos. The room is small, but that was to be expected. However, there was no place to hang our clothes in the room and the also none in the bathroom. That's a little inconvenience. One of the bedsheet is stained, unfortunately. The beds are too soft for my liking. But overall, the hotel ihas great character.

The staff was very accommodating. We arrived early for check-in, and the receptionist kindly allowed us to use the vacant room I had booked. Since I was with my family, this made things much easier—we were able to explore the area without carrying all our bags around. The room was clean, and the location was perfect—close to everything and very accessible. We had a great day and would definitely stay here again!

This guesthouse is so close to the train station. It is a walking distance to all the shops and tourism information. Public transport is accessible. It is actually centrally located in Katoomba city central.

The Metropole is well located, just around the corner from the main tourist drag. Almost all restaurants and shops are within a 10 minute walk. The mattress was very comfortable and the linens and towels excellent. The place overall has some charm but is run down and the carpeting is well worn and not so clean.
We had one of the worst breakfasts there so I would avoid that.
