Kempton Park Hotels with Airport pickup service

I am a youth leader taking a group to Port Elizabeth. Because of the way our flights worked out we had to spend the night in Johannesburg. I emailed 4 different hotels and Premiere Hotel was the only one to get back to me in a timely fashion. They were extremely helpful and responsive. Mercy was great to work with. They also arraigned transportation for all 34 of us from the airport to the hotel and once at the hotel we all ate in their restaurant and the food was wonderful. Pete, the restaurant manager, was extremely helpful. Overall Premiere hotel took what was the most stressful part of our trip and executed it wonderfully. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. The overall amenities of the hotel were absolutely wonderful. The management of this hotel should be proud. 10/10 I cannot recommend them enough.

We needed a pleasant place to stay overnight longer than what is available at an airport hotel as our international departure was late afternoon. I chose Sunrock because of airport transfers inclusion, its proximity to the airport and traveller reviews. What a pleasant surprise this place was. Will definitely stay here again, particularly when travelling with family. Nice garden and lovely pool area. The themed bar was a delight, and the dinner (extra), although simple without much choice, was delicious. Good security and very pleasant staff. Whilst some reviewers state they have found it noisy at times from surrounding residences, we did not experience that at all and actually found it to be peaceful, despite some airplane noise during the day (which is to be expected when only 10 minutes from an airport). We chose the honeymoon/double room. It came with an ensuite bathroom which had both a bath and walk in shower.

Excellent location – literally minutes away from the OR Tambo airport. There is a shuttle but it is difficult to locate it. Maybe some signage would help? Once we located it we were however in the hotel in about 5 minutes. The shuttle is quite efficient. The rooms are good sized but the bathrooms are small in comparison. The room was cleaned regularly. The coffee / tea amenities were good. The room I stayed in was however dated, needs updating of the rooms. The heater in my room did not work. I just hope it works during winter. On meals, Breakfast had a good spread on the buffet, very nice. It is the best meal of the day. Lunch and Dinner was also quite good though not as good in variety unless you use the ala carte menu. I did not use the restaurants much outside the meal times or the bar so I am not able to rate these for now. The 3 stars are largely due to the staff. Staff are generally slow, have a poor attitude and look like they have been forced to work. This was especially at the reception and in the dining. You really need friendlier staff at the reception! A good number of times staff paid more attention to speaking with their colleagues than serving guests. I would be in the middle of something with a staff member but another staff member comes to them speaking in their language and you have to wait. It happened to me too often for comfort. Never seen this anywhere else I’ve travelled. A few times they were also speaking across the room. We however met some lovely staff – a gentleman called Trust and a mature lady who was doing our eggs at breakfast, I forgot her name. Do not expect too much but it is an excellent location if having an early flight.

We were very happy and satisfied with the stay, we only arrived at 20:00 from the airport and without hesitation the lady made us some super delicious super, whatever we wanted from the menu. The staff is very, and the accommodation is clean! We will definitely make use of you again!

Convenient to the airport. Helpful staff. Great breakfast. No dinner restaurant, but you can order in, and staff will plate it and serve you at a nice table with drinks. Comfortable beds and rooms. Shuttle service arranged efficiently, as they have lots of experience with airport customers. Nice pool, too, though it was winter and too cold to use it. Pleasant gardens for a stroll, plus its next door to a park with a lake.

The Airport Lodge guesthouse is conveniently located in Kempton Park, Johannesburg, very close to the OR Tambo International Airport.. It is the perfect resting place after a very long flight and the ideal place to enjoy some leisure time in this beautiful, laid back environment. This lodge offers its guests very comfortable rooms fitted with ceiling fans, a bar fridge, microwave and an electric kettle, a TV and in addition, tea and coffee are provided. Some cutlery and crockery can be made available on request. And they do provide towels, soap etc. And free wifi is also available. It is a very safe and protected environment. The cleaning staff are very friendly, helpful and polite. Rooms are cleaned regularly. The managers of the property are absolutely fantastic, always willing to help and go out of their way to provide whatever support is needed. They are very kind, warm, loving, caring, generous and helpful folks. The hospitality displayed is truly outstanding. The rooms are designed around beautiful gardens which offer pleasant outdoor shaded areas. A sumptuous breakfast is available in the dining room. Make sure you let the managers know what time you will be available for breakfast in the mornings, which is usually served between 7am - 9am. Parking is available on the property. Transport to and from the airport can also be arranged. Please note that the guesthouse is located very close to supermarkets, banks, post offices etc within 5 minutes using a vehicle or taxi/uber or you can choose to walk, if you wish to. In addition, the guesthouse also offers tours around Johannesburg and a few surrounding areas, so if you are staying in Johannesburg for a few days, it would be wonderful to take advantage of these tours to become more acquainted with South African history and the culture. I highly recommend the Airport Lodge guesthouse and hope you will enjoy your stay there as much as I did.

The first stay was ok, but it was a family house renovation, cockroaches because I booked it close to me. The room was on the second floor pushing open the door to the balcony, where there were tables and chairs but thick dust. The second stay was very angry 😡, because there was something wrong on the first day of two days, the next day they found that they sold the good room I ordered at a higher price to later people without my consent. I could go to the room where I was almost in, and the hot water in the room was put for 20 minutes before it came out. Will not stay at the inn again.
