This review is for the hotels restaurant and not for the hotel. I visited the hotels on site restaurant (Wakefield Arms) this evening, 2nd July 25 at 6pm and was asked if I had a reservation to which I said no. The female behind the bar then said that it would be 8pm at the earliest before I could have a table. I looked around and question her as to why, as I was the only customer in the restaurant or bar area, all tables were empty and her reply was that there were only 2 staff working tonight. She was more than happy to let me know that they were plenty of other restaurants close by. Shocking service by Premier Inn, no customers in the restaurant and only me and still expected to wait 2 hours 👎 I took my business elsewhere that evening, although little would they have cared.
