Very clean room and spacious. Really friendly and helpful staff. Grant - who checked me in and helped with the Wifi - was really helpful. Grant also helped to explain the options for Premier Room customers which was really helpful. Thank you.

So I am sat in a premiere inn, big standard right? I always use prem inn when travelling on business. You know what you get. Clean, standard, comfortable. Vanilla. Usually tended by unenthusiastic staff, probably not paid enough. However, the greeting and friendliness I have experienced here have been exceptional. And the food is probably the best prem inn food I've had.

This tower-style hotel stands out a little in the Hull Docks landscape at the moment, but I'm sure will fit in when other buildings appear. One of the two lifts from the lobby to the reception area wasn't working which made for long trips up and down the hotel with the number of guests, but the brilliant guy on the main desk suggested another lift further into the hotel that saved the day. The walls are thin and some of the other guests chose not to be quiet during my stay. Combined with an old-fashioned air conditioner that would start up noisily at random through the night - I got perhaps a couple of hours' sleep. My fault perhaps - I should have sprung for a higher priced room. The beds in most of the Premiere Inns are uniformly good - though the pillows here were too thin on their own, or too thick when doubled up. To be honest - after 4 hours of no sleep (I could hear not just the tv of the woman next door - but also her loud snoring!), I'd had a sense-of-humour failure and had begun to question my life choices. Breakfast was acceptable. It felt expensive for the quality - but to be honest you'd pay the same pretty much anywhere. I got what I paid for - a basic, clean stay in an affordable, safe hotel near to where I needed to be the next day. I didn't expect a great view from my window - and didn't get one - but I just wish I'd been able to sleep!

The best things about this hotel were the staff who were really helpful, the great view from the restaurant and the very comfortable bed. I've stayed in some really good Premier Inns but this isn't one. The room was really tired and needs total refurbishment. The bathroom floor had grubby lino (not unclean but grimy from lots of use) and the bath was stained again from years of use. Yes the toilet paper dispenser is like something out of a public convenience. I share all the comments of Mark C and confirm I would have takn exactly all the same photos. The room heating was sporadic and noisy. The (one of two) lift was still out of order in mid-March which is a pain for such a big building. Whilst the Old Town is a short walk across the river, at night the immediate environs of the hotel aren't particularly pleasant. Unfortuntely the centre of Hull isn't blessed with lots of good hotels, but there are better ones than this if you book early.

Whilst the bed was extremely comfortable the rest of the hotel was a pretty poor experience. The decor is shabby (sealant coming away from sanitary areas in the bathroom), chipped desks and cupboards. A very tired bathroom with bath that is stained from years of use and a tap in the sink that never got more than lukewarm. The toilet paper dispenser is likesomething in a public convenience Heating was broken in the room (would not turn on) The hotel is 12 floors with reception on the 7th and has 2 lifts - one which was out of order meaning very long waits as the hotel was busy. I used the stairs eventually but that was an experience in itself - felt like the stairs from a tower block in the Bronx

The hotel was so difficult to get to because the main road leading to the hotel was closed off and nothing was updated on Google maps. Once we checked in there was only one lift available and it took ages to get to reception just to check in to get our key. The hotel parking is £7 for 24 hours and big cars are difficult to park there. The staff were absolutely amazing from check in to check out. The breakfast staff were first hand so professional and their customer service was excellent. The only let down for this hotel was the room itself. The hotel room is very outdated and all the furnishings were old. We stayed recently in Cardiff in premier inn and this hotel compares nothing to that hotel but they are the same company. The room looks old and there are no plugs near the bed to charge your phone overnight. The shower and bath is old and was not enjoyable. We stayed at this hotel for comfort and convenience unfortunately we got the convenience but not the comfort such a shame. The staff truly are amazing at this hotel from start to finish.

We had a lovely stay. I wish we could have stayed longer. Our room on the 12th floor was beautiful, but what made it even nicer was that every member of staff was so happy to help. When we arrived the lady on the check in greeted us with a lovely smile. She also served out drinks and served us again during our meal. I wish I'd have asked her name. At breakfast, the team were just as helpful, asking us how we would like our eggs. Emma was more than happy to tell me about her home town. She was full of local knowledge. Everyone we came across just seemed really happy. It's makes you want to go back there again. Thank you, team, at Premier Inn Hull, for making our stay so special

A bit late, but we stayed at the hotel on New year's eve 2024. The hotel really offers good value, their business model works so well for good sized clean rooms at a cheap price . Breakfast is perfectly ok for what you need. We enjoy old town Hull and normally you can walk out of the hotel and across a foot bridge straight in ,but it's out of action for the moment,so taxi is recommended. Left a review simply for the staff who were happy and professional on New year's eve. Well done 👏
